Career adviSiNgProfessional advisors are available to discuss your goals and interests, create a personalized career action plan, and develop internship and job search skills. In addition, students who have not selected a major can choose from a variety of career assessments and review results with an advisor.

iNterNShipS and the toppel internship programInternships are a great way to explore interests, gain work experience, and apply classroom learning. The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) recently reported that employers find their own internship programs to be the most effective resource for recruiting college graduates for full-time positions. For students who have already secured an internship, the Toppel Internship Program provides a 0-credit transcript notation that is visible on University of Miami transcripts.

graduate aNd proFeSSioNal programsPre-professional career advising is available for students interested in medical school, law school, and other graduate programs. Toppel helps students identify programs of interest, prepare a personal statement, and conduct a mock interview.
