The IMOVE Solution

Page 6: Towards a “roaming” service for MaaS users at …...Towards a “roaming” service for MaaS users at European Level The IMOVE project Angelos Amditis, ICCS Research Director,

Within IMOVE, operators will have the possibility to explore MaaS schemes and explore new solutions for mobility

The IMOVE Solution

Transport authorities will play a key role to ensure scalability and transferability of MaaSschemes, also by defining technical and operational regulationsCore ITS elements enabling MaaSdevelopment will be delivered, including enhanced real-time collection of data, tools for the (controlled) exchange of information and tools to enhance interoperability

Thanks to IMOVE, the cooperation between service providers will be improved by supporting combined mobility services using integrated data analytics

In six Living Labs the providers will implement different MaaSschemes and solutions, investigating with other actors Scalability Unlockers

IMOVE aims at developing “roaming” services for MaaSusers at European level, creating combined mobility packages for different needs

Page 7: Towards a “roaming” service for MaaS users at …...Towards a “roaming” service for MaaS users at European Level The IMOVE project Angelos Amditis, ICCS Research Director,

○ IMOVE aims to define sustainable cross-border scenarios in European Level and the necessary roaming framework required

○ Roaming enables and ensures interconnection of MaaS operators across Europe

○ Transferability of a user’s mobility portfolio from a MaaS to another

○ The compatible mobility services offered by coupled MaaS operators (home/visited) determine the level of cooperation

○ Business agreements (contracts), B2B and B2C relations to ensure a smooth transition from one MaaS to another

○ Roaming transaction

Roaming

○ Roaming Living Lab

○ The roaming Living lab will execute a roaming case between two or more participating to the project Living Labs.

○ Interest in roaming was expressed by Berlin, Manchester and Madrid

○ The scenarios to be tested have been identified

○ This is the last step to achieve the overall ambition of the project and the different Living Labs, after their execution and consolidation, should cooperate to achieve this ambition.

Page 15: Towards a “roaming” service for MaaS users at …...Towards a “roaming” service for MaaS users at European Level The IMOVE project Angelos Amditis, ICCS Research Director,

“interconnected physically and digitally at the appropriate nodes. Long-haul transport and urban delivery will be better aligned.

Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and the equivalent for freight, Delivery as a Service, will be well established with business models offering

travel choices, including public transport, and a range of related user services such as multi-mode information, booking, ticketing and

payment. Private and public transport stakeholders will have established models of cooperation. Consumers will expect faster,

more unique fulfilment as digital economy will be enabled by mobility, so that they can shop, order, and schedule delivery at their

convenience.”
