Last month the venue announced plans to close its doors permanently due to the landlord’s loss of the building to certain foreclosure. In a last minute change of events, the owner of Transit Lounge, Will Edwards, was able to negotiate a deal to purchase the land and save the club from its demise. Edwards plans to continue with business as normal, hosting concerts and weekly events. Transit Lounge also has a lineup of national headliners slated to play, starting with their 80’s FreeStyle Concert Series featuring Lisette Melendez, Debbie Deb, George Lamond, and others. More information on upcoming concerts will be announced shortly. Transit Lounge is a bar and venue located on Brickell at 729 sw 1st Avenue, Miami, FL. Transit is known for its live music and entertainment all week long, including performances by local and national bands.
