How important is professional development? Studies show that most people leave an organisation over

issues that a manager or leader can influence* - is your organisation contributing to this statistic? What

Who should attend? Anyone in the organisation / emerging leaders / new leaders / senior team /

human resources / managers / entrepreneurs

Delivery is three days over a six to twelve week period. There will be two behaviour profiles one from

a management perspective and another from a leaders perspective and lots of experiential activities.

Developing leadership skills is the first step toward succession planning. Many organisations

promote people who are functionally good at their job, or because they have been there a number of

years – why not include the tools to successfully transition into leadership? Investing in leadership skills

early allows these valued employees to practice, develop and demonstrate the leadership skills that are

necessary for a leadership position. !

Transitioning Towards Leadership is a workshop series developing leadership skills first with

self and then with others. I believe to be a good leader you need to be a leader within yourself in order to

be able to demonstrate leadership skills, be inspirational and have influence. In this series it is assumed

participants have a general knowledge of DiSC and know their own behaviour style and communication

preference. If you have taken our “Building the Foundation” or “Discover Leadership Thinking” workshops

you are perfectly positioned for this next step.!

The Modules!

The above modules are supported with easy to understand explanations of how the brain works enabling

participants to apply the concepts they learn to multiple situations. The workshops are activity driven and

layered to help build understanding and retention. As our brain continuously processes information our

workshops are spaced out to allow a reflection period and provide the opportunity for participants to ask

clarifying questions.

Day 2 we focus on people reading, the power of observation and what clarifying questions to ask to better understand and communicate a new level of clarity.

The benefit of reading people and asking questions is that it creates an opportunity to be clearer in your message, improves your understanding and reduces assumptions made.

Day 1 using DiSC participants will identify their own leadership and management styles and learn how to change their style in order to achieve the best outcome.

The benefit of being flexible and able to transition between styles builds respect, trust, and frees you to learn from a different perspective.

Additional workshops are provided upon request. We can provide a catch-up workshop for participants that do not have the assumed basic knowledge; ideally this should be done one month in advance of the Transitioning Toward Leadership workshops.

Teambuilding Communication Private coaching

Day 3 focuses on congruency, matching words with non-verbal communication and how to prime your audience with your intent.

The benefit of understanding congruency is simple only 7% of communication is done through words which means if you are not congruent your message is not getting through as intended.
