Infographics: Once unique now common
• Not just used for print or web:
• Also used to convey complex ideas
without powerpoint.
Infographics: Used
• Infographics can be costly:
• Infographic to right cost $870.00
• Can be $500 to $3,000 depending on revisions
• Planning your image makes the difference in cost
Infographics: Good planning
Infographics: Clarify the message
• Advocacy is not lobbying – Focusing the message gets everyone – from Public Health Director to coalition member - on the same page.
• Provides the “boilerplate” for press releases, social media messages, power point slides, talking points, advocacy & marketing plan.

The story…
In Boone County, we value families. Many young people typically work their first jobs in restaurants and other places that serve the public. Some workplaces in Florence still allow smoking, leaving workers exposed to dangerous levels of second-hand smoke during their entire shift. Air quality in smoking venues was 4x worse than the outdoor air quality standard. These young workers are the future of Florence/Boone County. We are concerned. Everyone has the right to breathe smoke-free air.

• Use concept paragraph
• Choose type of infographic before starting• Statistical
• Informational
• Timeline

• Geographic
• Comparison
