TSLI focuses not only on business success and becoming a global recognized insurance company - our management also has ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ or CSR as a policy. We are operating a policy which emphasizes honesty as the main point and includes continuous development on service. This in turn promotes the company as trustworthy to our customers. We also focus on the participation of employees in two main categories; Education program (Children skill development) and Environment. CSR is part of the Samsung Life Insurance Principle Our goals: ● To diversify social contribution programs and beneficiaries. ● To include CSR policies and activities as part of the organization and encourage the concept of CSR to employees. ● To build and promote a positive corporate image to the general public.

Education program (Children skill development) For Thailand, We would like to address the inequality gap between the children and young people of rural areas when compared with children who live in cities / metropolitan areas. The gap includes areas such as access to educational resources, information and technology, as well as basic financial programs and sanitation services. We would like to develop the skills of children in rural areas by providing learning opportunities. We provide equipment and resources, as well as improve teaching and learning methods to develop knowledge and skills In order to ensure sustainability and efficiency. Thai Samsung Life Insurance runs CSR policy under the motto of ‘We Love & Share’ Thai Samsung Life Insurance…For Children to Learn Project Samsung Life Insurance has a company policy to drive CSR activities in Thailand. The aim is to develop the skills of children and young people in rural areas by providing learning opportunities for children and teachers. This is accomplished by focusing on the inequality gap in education and technology between the children and young people of rural areas. We launched a project named: “Thai Samsung Life Insurance for Children to

learn”, a 5 year project, which provides computers, computer equipment and school supplies for 12 primary schools every year through the Ministry of Education, Thailand. The total project budget is 2 billion KRW (approximately 56.3 million THB).

This project has been driven and implemented by Samsung Life Insurance, Thai Samsung Life Insurance, the Ministry of Education Thailand, Korea Food for the Hungry International, and the various schools. These partners sincerely hope this project will help the children to receive equitable educational opportunities and develop the skills and knowledge to compete on an international level in the future and apply those skills to benefit society.

We provide equipment and resources, we also improve teaching and learning to develop knowledge and skills In order to ensure sustainability and efficiency. Following a school opening ceremony, Thai Samsung Life Insurance volunteers join school activities with students and the surrounding community. Activities include; teaching English language, teaching Saving and financial program, renovation of the school library and renovation of school’s cafeteria, etc.

Thai Samsung Life Insurance We Love & Share…Saving Camp Project Throughout the year Thai Samsung Life Insurance continues the education of children and young people with “Saving Camp Program”. The aim is to give children and youth knowledge of saving and financial planning, as well as to promote the life insurance concept to children. “Saving Camp Program” is a one day activity. The Children will learn how to manage a daily budget that parents provide. This focuses on basic income – expense and Sufficiency economy. The total project budget is 200,000 THB per year.

Thai Samsung Life Insurance We Love & Share…School bag for children Project In rural areas student’s homes can be very far from the school. Students often have to walk long distances while carrying heavy textbooks every day. To have a good school bag is sometimes very difficult if there is no market in the area or the investment in a school bag is beyond the family’s financial means. Therefore supporting these students by providing school bags is very useful. supporting these students by providing school bags is very useful. Additionally, the school bag with the company’s logo is a great presentation, showing that the company focuses and supports student skills development. The total project budget is 230,000 THB per year.

Samsung Life Insurance Scholarship (Actuarial Program) Education support for new generations, including providing great opportunities for future careers. A scholarship is awarded to 9 students; 6 students from Chulalongkorn University and 3 students from Mahidol University. Student tuition fees will be paid for From the Samsung Life fund until graduation. Samsung Life Insurance also provides actuarial scholarships for master degree award to 2 students for study in Korea.

Environment

Green Global Project 6 (Mangrove planting) The Green Global Project has been held on seven occasions; each time we are increasing the number of mangrove trees introduced to the forest. This is beneficial to surrounding communities and helps restore a critical coastal ecosystem. The project provides a great opportunity for Thai and Korean’s volunteers to work together to restore lost mangrove trees. This project continues to grow exponentially. The total project budget is 374,000 THB per year.
