STYLED TO SELLBY REBECCA BISA

Welcome to my first segment of ‘styled to sell’, in our local Market Review. The idea for this section evolved from a lack of hands on assistance available in the marketplace, for those needing practical help and direction to present their home to the marketplace.

By utilising tools you may not even realise you have, I can provide you with additional cost effective ideas in all areas of styling, organisation, placement of existing home furnishings and ornimentals.

Most vendors intending on presenting a home to the market may appreciate how an alternate, and completely neutral opinon could dramatically effect how a purchaser could either count or discount a home at a first viewing.

Thinking of marketing your home?

Welcome to the March edition.

The year is off to a flying start with momentum gaining in the positive results achieved by our team and the planning for many local Tuggeranong events. As we all know, last month we welcomed an interest rate cut by The Reserve Bank of Australia. Further to this, the Auction clearance rate across our group has been outstanding, resulting in 17 sales from 19 auctions within the first two weeks of February.

Property inspection levels throughout the last month have been positive, averaging over 4 groups per open home. Our newer listings that are competitively priced are attracting groups upwards of 15 which is a positive sign of increased buyer confidence. On the 14th February just outside Tuggeranong, our office auctioned a beautifully presented home in Jerrabomberra, an area which traditionally sells homes through the private treaty method rather than by auction. The auction in Waterfall Drive attracted two registered bidders and sold in excess of $15,000 above the owners’ reserve price. In addition, we have auctions scheduled over the following weeks which have attracted positive interest levels therefore demanding a multitude of viewings.

If you are planning to make a move over the next few months, the timing could be ideal with continued low interest rates and outstanding results being achieved for our vendors and landlords.

At Peter Blackshaw Real Estate Tuggeranong we consider being involved with the local community an important way of showing support for the Tuggeranong area and its residents. Over the past 10 years we have proudly been involved with a number of community events, charitable organisations, schools, sporting teams, mothers programs and businesses, such as the RSPCA, St Vincent De Paul, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Cancer Council Australia and Variety: The Childrens Charity. We enjoy taking a hands-on approach to all aspects of our sponsorship by having our staff be involved in all events where possible. We invest our time, resources and expertise to ensure everyone is pleased with the final outcome.
