The Turner School of Construction Management is the oldest community outreach program in Turner’s
history. Initiated in 1969, the program has since become an opportunity to develop strategic business
relationships with minority-owned, women-owned and disadvantaged firms. In partnership with Mecklenburg County,
Turner School is designed to provide contractors with the tools necessary to pursue work in the public and private
sectors. The 2019 cohort continues Turner and Mecklenburg County’s long standing commitment to the small and
disadvantaged business community.
