Club Leadership Plan

The purpose of the Club Leadership Plan is to strengthen Rotary at the

club level by providing the administrative framework of an

effective club.

Mission of Rotary International  

The mission of Rotary International is to support its member clubs in fulfilling the Object of Rotary by:

 

·            Fostering unity among member clubs

·            Strengthening and expanding Rotary around the world

·            Communicating worldwide the work of Rotary

·            Providing a system of international administration

Object of Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and

foster:

·            The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.

·            High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the

dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.

·            The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life.

·            The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional

persons united in the ideal of service.

Mission Statement of Tuscaloosa Thursday Morning Rotary Club:

The mission of the Tuscaloosa Thursday Morning Rotary Club is to provide the environment for

building, growing and supporting our membership, fostering fellowship, and promoting the ideals, principles and purpose of Rotary International.

Membership DevelopmentGoal: Tuscaloosa Thursday Morning Rotary Club will achieve at least a net

2 member increase in membership each year.

Strategies: Develop a specific 3-year plan of action to emphasize, train for and promote membership growth in our club. Plan should be sustainable,

consistent, measurable and accountable.

 

 Communications Goal:  Tuscaloosa Thursday Morning Rotary Club will implement an

effective, accessible, timely and relevant support system through effective, consistent and sustained communications.

Strategies:  Develop a specific communications plan to insure that local clubs have timely, relevant and meaningful information that contributes to being an

effective local Rotary club.

The Rotary Foundation

Goal: Tuscaloosa Thursday Morning Rotary Club will be a supporter and contributor to The Rotary Foundation on an annual, sustained basis with 100%

of members participating.

Strategies: Set an annual goal of $100 per member of total giving by the club through all avenues of giving available through The Rotary Foundation.

 Public Relations & Marketing

Goal:  Tuscaloosa Thursday Morning Rotary Club will expand visibility, image and public awareness of Rotary International that enhances and supports the

effectiveness, impact, growth and public relations of our club. Strategies: Develop specific plan of action and implementation strategies for a

sustained 3-year public relations and marketing initiative for our club.

Programs & Functions

Goal: Tuscaloosa Thursday Morning Rotary Club will develop and sustain programs, activities and functions that contribute to membership growth and

participation, awareness of Rotary's purpose and objectives, and relevant service programs that support and build an effective club.

Strategies: Assess and develop implementation plan for an effective and efficient club structure and delivery system that contributes to building an

effective club and provides the support and resources for successful service projects.

Administration

Goal: Tuscaloosa Thursday Morning Rotary Club will provide an administrative and management structure that contributes to continuity of service,

club support, communications, fiscal management and ongoing strategic planning.

Strategies: Each year’s board will review the functional administrative offices we support to assure that the club provides continuity of management and support

for volunteer leaders.
