•Mass Media: Mass media is the transmission of a message by a sender to a receiver through a decoder.

5 Parts of Mass Media•Message: Information or content
•Sender: Person who sends the message (duh)
•Transmitter: Device that encodes the message
•Receiver: Device that decodes the message
•Destination: Simultaneously reaches a large group
The Goal
•Mass media aims to reach the largest possible audience with same message at the same time.
•It’s goal is almost always informative
