beginners medicalguide
This is just a simple, rough guide to using the new ACE 3 AGM medicalsystem that we use here at T.W.C
Key Bindings.
Firstly you must change or bind your interaction keys , this is very importantas this allows you to use the features listed.
Simply follow these steps and the pictures below with the areasCIRCLED/HIGHLIGHTED in RED:
1. Press ESC >>>> 2.Click CONFIGURE >>>> 3.Click CONFIGURE ADDONS>>>> 4.Press THE DROP DOWN ARROW next to TFAR >>>> 5.Click ACE 3
COMMON >>>> 6.Rebind INTERACT KEY >>>>>> 7.Rebind SELF INTERACTKEY >>> 8.Click OK + EXIT.
2.
3.
4.
5.
WHEN SETTING THESE KEYS YOUR MUST REMEMBER THAT THESE WILLBECOME COMMON AND USED FREQUENTLY , MOST PLAYERS USE THEIR
WINDOWS KEYS AS THERE IS 2 OF THEM, LOCATED LEFT AND RIGHT OF YOURSPACEBAR.
6. DOUBLE CLICK ON THE KEY TO CHANGE IT'S BINDING
7.
THEN SAVE / CLICK OK !
8.
Self interaction,
When you have chosen your keys you can now interact with players andyourself, this will allow you to treat a casulty, interact with your gear and a
range of other options.
This is what your SELF INTERACTION should look like:
You will have to PRESS AND HOLD the key selected and u must LOOK at theinteractions with your mouse, there is a in game RED COURSOR that can
been seen in the picture this gives you precision when selecting an option ingame.
This is what player INTERACTION looks like:
AGM MEDICAL.
Now this can seem like a very complex system and can be hard tounderstand so i will just point out the key features , to allow you to get the
job done.
Now some key POINTS to remember before we start are:
The order in which things are done.
Your positioning over the casulty (must be able to see all limbs of thepachient)
DO NOT TRY TO CLICK YOUR MOUSE TO ENABLE A FEATURE , SIMPLY
RELEASE THE INTERACTION KEY PRESSED.
DIAGNOSE
Firstly to diagnose a pachient you MUST be looking at their HEAD as shownbelow.
Simply look at the fuction then release the key pressed to enable the actionlike shown.
Then the current status will appear in the top right of your screen like shown:
TREATING A WOUND
Now to treat a wound you MUST look at the pachients LIMBS and you will seethe area that needs treatment as this will be highlighted RED OR YELLOW,
this indication will also tell you how severe the injury is:
RED- meaning this is serious and may need a few bandages.
YELLOW- meaning this a light injury and may only need 1 bandage.
as seen below:
Simply LOOK at the injury to open the bandage menu, then look at thebandage as shown below.
Then RELEASE to enable the bandage process.
MORPHINE
To administer morphine the process is the same only you have to selectmorphiene instead of bandage like below:
Then release to start applying morphine.
Epinephrine is exactly the same process:
Just remember
DO NOT administer more than 2 epinepherine OR 2 morphine into 1 pachientas they will O.D and die in the most tragic of ways.
Tranfuse blood.
Usually only the medic has blood bags avaiable to him and is able toadminister them in the field, that too is the same process also you can see if
a pachient needs blood by diagnosing them.
(You will notice that with each limb you look at you can either bandage, morphine , epi or transfuse blood , BUT NOTE ONLY the HEAD and TORSO will
NOT have this feature.)
Triage card
The triage card is for the medic to use when he arrives to a casulty, he cangain all the relevant information on the casulty, see all the medical
equipment used by other players on the pachient and tell if he is stable, critical or deceased.
This allows the medic decide what process to take next and gather all theinformation needed without being told or communicating with other players
allowing them to continue their role and making the process alot quickerwhen it comes to gathering information on the casulty.
The triage card is located on the TORSO of any player as seen below:
This is what it should look like:
You have now sucessfully learned how to treat a casulty in the new ace 3medical system and the order in which it should be done.
diagnose >>> bandage >>> morphine >>> epinephine >>> bloodtransfusion.
