ALLEN Our last regular season home game will be this Friday. Call time for seniors to receive your flowers will be at 5:30pm. The rest of the band will have inspection beginning at 6:00pm. The drill team tune for the week is “Word Up.” AHS PEP RALLY ON FRIDAY Please remember to bring your polo with jeans or khaki shorts if you are at AHS during first period. 8 th Period AHS band students may participate in the pep rally; please communicate with your 1 st period teacher if you would like to participate. ADVANCED MUSIC FINAL CANVAS ASSIGNMENTS DUE THURSDAY If you are in advanced music, you need to submit any re-do assignments by Thursday. Remember, you need to score an 85% or 100% on all three Region Etudes to be able to audition. REGION BAND/AREA AUDITIONS & CONCERTS 9 th grade fees and registration has already passed for the 9 th grade auditions. If you are interested in the regular Region auditions, you will need to sign up by Friday, November 3 rd . The cost is $15 to audition. Advanced music students must score an 85% or 100% to be able to audition. If you are not in advanced music, you need to either send a video of all three etudes to Dr. Obado or have your private teacher e-mail Dr. Obado. We will be screening all students that wish to audition for Region Band. Sign-Up for Region Auditions: Deadline: November 3 ($15 registration Fee) 9 th grade region band auditions: November 14 (McKinney North) Phase 1 Region Auditions: December 1 (Wylie) Phase 2 Region Auditions: December 4 (Wylie) Area Band Auditions: January 13 (Berkner) All Region Bands Clinic/Concert: January 25-26 TMEA All-State: February 14-17 UIL PATCHES NOW AVAILABLE The deadline to order UIL marching patches is 11/9/17. We will be announcing concert attire fitting soon. Also, LFC bands and 1 st period AHS bands will be having morning rehearsals and/or sectionals. Your band director will e-mail rehearsal schedules separately. Please note that each ensemble will be required to watch and support other performing ensembles.
