ConstructionHorizontal single stage, end suction with vertical discharge.The "back pull out" design allows for the maintenance ofthe pump without disturbing the pipework connected to thecasing, or the pump alignment.The pump is built to the dimensional requirments of ISO2858. Flanges are in accordance with EN 1092.
CasingSelf-venting horizontal volute casing with horizontal endsuction and vertical discharge. The suction nozzle has avane to reduce prerotation.
ShaftTapered & keyed shaft design allowing ease of removal inmaintenance & positive locking whilst in operation.
BearingsHeavy duty SKF or approved equivalent, greased for life,reducing maintenance. Protected by a qualitymanufactured lip seal reducing ingress of moisture orforeign matter. Housed within removable bearing cap coverassembly.
Bearing housingRobust / heavy duty, manufactured in high strength castiron providing trouble-free life complete with liftingprovision and support foot.
BaseplateBaseplates for electric drives are available in a variety ofstyles:Standard
- Fixed and grouted directly to the foundation.Anti Vibration
- Rigid baseplate on rubber mounts.- Rigid baseplate on spring mounts.- Rigid baseplate with inertia block base and
spring mounts.
The baseplate is manufactured or fabricated from eithercold formed (pressed) steel plate or from rolled steelchannel sections.
Pump SelectionFor pump selection the hydraulic performance curvesshould be used. These curves are based on water at15°C and SG equal to 1.0.
NPSH values are indicated on the performance curves. Atleast 0.5m should be added as a safety margin.
To overcome variations between actual and designrequirements it is recommended that the driver powerexceeds the absorbed pump shaft power:
