Step 1I Download the Room Stock image and Pasted it in my A3 , 300 dpi document.

Step2Then I download the Picture frame and open the PSD file after unzipping it and pasted the frame in my document. Using the Transformation Tool (Click CTRL + T), rotated the frame as shown below

Step 3First, I Created a ‘CURVES’ Adjustment layer. This is can be done as follows. Below the Layer’s Palette, click on CREATE NEW FILL OR ADJUSTMENT LAYER, the small icon that looks like a circle (half black and half white) and select CURVES.

Step 4I added a clipping mask for the first time but it changed the color of the en-tire room but i only wanted the frame to be adjusted . So, I ALT + Click be-tween the CURVES Layer and the FRAME Layer ( which added the curves layer as a clipping mask). The frame still seems a bit colorful, so I added a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer in the same way I added the Curves Layer. Set the Saturation level to -53. After setting the saturation, I added a Clip-ping mask for this layer too.

Step 5Now, the frame still looks a bit bright, so I added a LEVELS Adjustment Layer. This layer darkened the dark areas even more thus providing a depth to the image. I Used the following settings below.

Step 6I also added a Exposure Adjustment layer, as I wasn’t satisfied with the result after the Levels Adjustment.

Step 7I placed this image of the squid into the document , then using the magic wand tool i selected all the white ereas and deleted them .

Step 8Now I needed to create the image as if the shark is coming out of the Picture Frame, So I carefully placed the squid as shown below.

Step 9Now I obviously need to remove sections of the squid . So carfully using the rectangle marquee tool I cut away sections so to make it look like the squid is coming out of the frame . I reduced the opac-ity of the squid image to get a better selection view. I then added a drop shadow on the squid to to give it more depth

Step 10I added a Hue/Saturation Layer with the following settings.Hue 0, Saturation -35, Lightness 0. Which I added as a clipping mask so that only the squid image is edited and not the entire document.

Step 11Now I added Levels, Brightness, Curves adjustment layers with these settings . 44, 0.85, 255.

Page 4: Typography / poster

Step 12I then added brightness contrast with the following setting’s.Brightness-38, contrast +42

Step 13I added the curves to output 110 and input 140

Step14I added this image of clouds.

Step 15Using the rectangular Lasso Tool, I copyed and pasted my desired selection to create a landscape in the picture frame, so that to give an idea that the squid is aperaing from the sea.

Step 16I then added a Gaussian Blur of around 19 px radius. (FILTER > BLUR > GAUSSIAN BLUR) I gave it this blur as I thought it looked to much like a cloud .

Step 17I gave the picture frame a shadow so to apear that it is slightly coming out of the wall.

My image now looks like this below. Step 18I downloded this image of a cat and pasted it into my document .

Step 19I cut out the image of the cat and deleted the original image .

Step 20I went to image adjustment’s Hue Saturation and applyed the following settings. Hue0, Saturation -55, lightness 0

Step 21I went to image adjustments Brightness/Contrast and applyed the following settings. Brightness+23, Contrast-7

Step 22I went to image adjustments , Curves and applyed the follow-ing settings . Output 112 , Input 136

Page 6: Typography / poster

Step 23I went to image adjustments , Levels and applyed the following settings. Channel RGB , 19, 0.71,255

This is how the image looks now .

Step 23I now added a water splash effect, I got these brush’s from the web .I then loaded the water Fall Brushes into my Photoshop document. I create a new layer and using the Brush Tool, I add a water fall just below the squid. I then removed certain parts of the water fall using the rubber tool on a low opacity to give it a natu-ral look .

Page 7: Typography / poster

Step 24Then, download a puddle stock image and pasted it on the document. I then Move it down so that it appears on the floor. I Desaturate the puddle image and Set the Blending mode to SCREEN, and an opacity of around 50% and using the Transformation tool I change the perspective of the puddle to match that of the floor. I used the eraser with soft brush and erased certain parts of the image to make it look natural .

Page 8: Typography / poster

For this image I just turned down the curves I like it as it brings out the detail in squid.

Page 12: Typography / poster

Step 16 I duplicated the sea horse layer and and kept merging them and dupicating them again. I then went to trasform , perspectice where I played around with the depth of the seahorse’s to give the feeling as if they were getting smaller and smaller as they went on in the distance .

Step 17 I placed this image of a cat into the document .

Step 18I cut the image of the cat out .

Page 13: Typography / poster

Step 26I changed the Brightness and contrast to, Brightness -38 , Contrast +42

Step 27Last of all i changed the Brightness /Contrast to Brightness - 54 Contrast -27.

Step 28I could not find any font that suited this surelisum project so I decided to make my own using my Seahorse . I did this by warping each seahorse in to useually two per letter . I would of liked to go trough it step by step but it apears that i merged each letter once complete loosing the layers .

Poster 3STEP 1I opened a new document with the size’s below .

Step 2I placed this image of the sea into the document and sized it to fit .

Step 3Using the Polygone lassoo tool I cut out sections of the water . After doing that I needed to blur the edge of this sea so to make it look seamless . To this I clicked on the Blur tool. I then change its settings to the following:Brush size: 150p Hardness: 0%Mode: Normal Strength: 100%.

Step 4I wanted to change the water color .To do this clicked on the layer and went to Image > Adjustments > Color Balance. Once opened I used the following settings:Color Levels: -20, 0, +35Tone Balance: MidtonesPreserve Luminosity: Checked

Step 5Again, I wanted to adjust its color, this time I wanted to change tones of the water’s shadows. I Start by clicking on the layer again and went to Image > Adjustments > Color Balance. Once opened I used the following set-tings: Color Levels: -45, +25, +18 Tone Balance: ShadowsPreserve Luminosity: Checked

Step 6I placed this picture of the sky in the document and draged it below the “water” layer. I then resized the image to fit .

Page 18: Typography / poster

This is how my image looks now . Step 7I wanted to adjust the Brightness and Contrast of the sky. So First, made sure that the “sky” layer is selected and then I went to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and then put the following settings Brightness: 15Contrast: 0

Step 8 I wanted to Create an Horizon now that the sky and sea are in place, First I created a new layer by pressing Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + N. After doing this, a box opened I named this layer “horizon” in the name box. I put this layer above the “sky” layer and below the “water” layer. I then activated the Brush tool (B) and once it is opened, I put in the following settings:Brush size: 900px Hardness: 0 Opacity: 30%Flow: 100% #: ffffff.

Step 9 I downloaded some bubble brush’s off the web and loaded them into te document . I clicked on my brush and set the color to white and placed them where I desirerd

Step 10I dowloaded a birds brush and loaded it into the document Once loaded I created a new layer and put this layer above all the layers on our the canvas and named it “Birds”. I then Activated the Brush tool and clicked onto the canvas . I then lowered the opacity to 70% to blend in beter

Step 11I placed this image into the document .

Page 19: Typography / poster

Step 12I then adjusted the color of the shark to make it blend in with the water.I did this by Clicking on the fish’s layer and went to Image > Adjustments > Color Balance and put the following setting in.Color Levels: -27, +50, +49Tone Balance: MidtonesPreserve Luminosity: CheckedI then lowered the opacity to 30% to make the shark look as though it was in the distance .

Step 13I placed this image of a fish into te document .

Step 14I cut out the fish using the magnetic lassoo tool and fliped it with the free transform tool , flip horizontal .

Step 15I cut out a section of the fish with the magnetic lasso tool, copyed and pasted and then still with the selection deleted the original selection so to have the the section of the fish i wanted to look undewater seperate than the rest of the fish . With this section i changed the it to multiply and lowered the opacity to 70% to give the effect that it is underwater .

Step 16I then added this image of a cat to the document .

Page 20: Typography / poster

Step 17I then cut out the cats head and resized it to fit onto the fish . I played around with the levels and curves untill it was similar color to the fish . Using a low opacity and low flow soft rubber I erased some of the cats head to tomae it blend in better .

Step 18I then placed this image of old paper into the document .

Step 19Once that is done I changed its Blending Mode and Opacity to the following:Blending mode: Soft Light Opacity: 70%

Step 20I then placed this paper texture into the document .

Step 21After that, change the Blending mode and Opacity values to the following:Blending mode: Color Burn Opacity: 50%
