WELCOME!During your AU Intro Days you will be introduced to Aarhus University to help you make the best of your stay. You will be oriented on practical matters regarding your stay and introduced to the numerous activities the University and the city have to offer.
This booklet will help guide your way through your designated AU Intro Days, with informa-tion about the activities, an activity schedule, and maps of important places relevant to your introduction activities. The AU Intro Days allow students plenty of opportunities to get to know each other and the beautiful campus of AU.
Make sure to check for any last minute up-dates and announcements regarding your AU Intro Days online at the AU Intro Days Web-site. There is also a Facebook Page dedicated specifically for incoming students and AU Intro Days activities, where updates and posts with information specifically for incoming students will be made. Make sure to search for and add Aarhus University Incoming International Stu-dents. Please also note that the IC will have extended opening hours during the start of the semester. Be sure to make use of them as they are available for your benefit! The extended hours are:
ACTIVITIESThis area gives an overview of some of the ac-tivities that will take place. Though this list is not comprehensive, you can use it to see the wide variety of activities that will be offiered. Make sure to check out the schedule on the next pages to get an entire overview of everything that will happen so that you don’t miss any activities!
Check-in at the International CentreIf you haven’t already done so, one of the first things you should do once arriving is checking-in with the IC. This is extremely important to do before your AU Intro Days as there are docu-ments needed for some of the activities.

Danes, Danish, and DenmarkTuesday, August 23, 11:30 – 13:00
Building 2628, Auditorium 109This presentation will give you an idea of what it is like to live in Denmark and how the Danes are in order to make the transi-tion from home to Denmark a little easier. LærDansk offers this presentation and an experienced Danish teacher will introduce you to the Danish language in a humourous and interactive lesson.
Days with BSSTo be announced from your Faculty/Depart-mentOn this day you will be divided according to your studies in Aarhus to get an introduction to your Department and/or Faculty. The faculties and departments will be responsible for the day. More information will come by email from your faculty or department about specific activities and times.
Explorer Day: Fun and Games in Uni ParkSunday, September 4, 13:00 - 18:00Studenterhus Aarhus, Nordre Ringgade 3Join us for a fun afternoon discovering one of the most beautiful campuses in the world in a distinctly less formal way than regular tours and more reminiscent of the way that Danish intro activities are done. There will be hidden treas-ures to discover, goals to achieve and, hopefully, lots of laughs and good companionship. Bring comfortable clothing (nothing too fancy and no high heels), maybe a raincoat, and, most of all, your good spirits. Don’t bring an empty stomach
but be sure to make room for a few surprises!
Residence Certificate (EU Citizens) & CPRTuesday, August 23, 13:15 - 16:00
Building 2628, Room 209This is an opportunity for students to apply for their Residence Certificate (EU Citizens) and CPR Number (all students) during the AU In-tro Days, making the processing both quicker and easier. Be sure to bring the completed application form and all relevant personal documents (see Pre-Arrival Guide on page 13 for details).
International Student FairTuesday, September 6, 16:00 - 19:00 Studenterhus Aarhus, Nordre Ringgade 3 During these two hours you will be introduced to some of the many social activities offered to students by different organisations at the University and in the city of Aarhus.
International NightTuesday, September 6, 20:00 - 23:00 Studenterhus Aarhus, Nordre Ringgade 3Studenterhus Aarhus will organise an Interna-tional night where you will have the opportunity to meet other international students and Danish students and share your experiences in Aarhus! International nights typically take place every Tuesday during the semester.
