(33511 Western Ave, Union City)Age 14 and Up • Beginners and Advanced

A non-violent martial art, Aikido provides excellent physical and mental conditioning, enabling a person under attack to assume

control over the situation without giving in to the creation of violence. A beautiful and enlivening art, Aikido is a philosophy with physical

expression. The unification of mind, body, and spirit creates a calm-ness which transfers to daily life. Aikido means “the way of harmo-nizing energy/consciousness”, and its practitioners recognize and

respect the inherent sanctity of all life. As such, Aikido is concerned with protecting all life, including those hostile toward us. The founder of Aikido developed training regimens and techniques that allow and create the conditions where the goals of life protection and self-de-

velopment are achieved simultaneously. Sensei James Neiman, Ph.D., who holds the rank of 4th degree

black belt, will help you develop mastery in self defense, health in your mind, body, and spirit, and guide you to a path for excellence in

all aspects of life. For further information: www.shugyoaikiddojo.com
