1. Sehubungan dengan adanya perubahan editorial pada Rules for Floating Docks, (Pt. 3, Vol. II) edisi 2002, maka diinformasikan perubahan editorial terhadap Rules tersebut melalui korigenda terlampir.

A. Testing

1 Testing ofTanks

1.1 Fresh water and portab le water tanks, oi l fuel and lubricating oil tanks as we ll as waste oil ta nks are to be tested by a head of water of 2,5 m above the tank top.

1.2 All ba llast compartments in the pontoon and in the wing wa ll s are to be tested by a powerfu l jet of water, or else by air pressure. When air testing is adopted, all welded seams essential for watertightness are to be wetted with suds or a sim ilar liqu id.

2. Testing of the Dock

Upon the comp letion of the dock, the freeboard to the top deck, the light weight and the nomina l li ft ing capacity of t he dock are to be ascertained.

B. Surveys

Survey during construct ion and surveys for mai ntena nee of class of the fl oating docks a re to be carried out

in accordance with Ru les for Classification and Surveys (Pt.1, Vol.I} Sec.4.G.
