The Hope Six Demolition Projectdraws from several journeys undertaken by Harvey, who spent time in Kosovo, Afghanistan and

Washington, D.C. over a four-year period. When Im writing a song I visualise the entire scene. I can see the colours, I can tell the time

day, I can sense the mood, I can see the light changing, the shadows moving, everything in that picture. Gathering information from

secondary sources felt too far removed for what I was trying to write about. I wanted to smell the air, feel the soil and meet the people of

the countries I was fascinated with, says Harvey.

The album was recorded last year in residency at Londons Somerset House. The exhibition, entitled Recording in Progress saw Harve

her band, producers Flood and John Parish, and engineers working within a purpose-built recording studio behind one-way glass, observ

throughout by public audiences.

Toronto-based singer/songwriter Megan Bonnellreleases her sophomore album, Magnolia, on April 15, 2016 via MapleMuRecordings. The record, which was produced once again by Chris Stringer(The Wooden Sky, Timber Timbre) and Joshua VTassel(David Myles, Gypsophilia), holds within it a very specific time in her life and features 11 new songs, including the fisingle, Cant Have You.

Following two critically acclaimed studio albums and a live album, They Call Me Ricowill return stronger than ever this spring with a third studio album.The

album, made up entirely of original songs features Rico (Frdric Pellerin), a one-man band originally from Qubec, Canada who now lives in Lyon, France

With 10 songs recorded in two studios in the Lyon area, the album sees Rico adding a more rock sound to the Americana roots and blues sound that he ha

become known for. While he stays true to himself, the songs have a more modern feel compared to his previous albums. An artist who is constantly in

transformation, his process is based a desire not to repeat himself while keeping his original musical identity.

They Call Me Ricois a solo one-man concept but he decided to enlist the services of other both Canadian and French musicians, including Charlie Glad

(violin and keys) from Lyon, France, Dominique Rock Laroche (Vovod) on bass, and Nicolas Grimard (Caman Fu) on lap steel guitar, both from Canada

Produced by Rico, the album was mostly recorded at his Magneto studio in Lyon, France by sound engineers Vincent Lvesque and Russell Stageman, an

Jonathan Verne at Studio La Hacienda in Tarare, France.

There is no argument about Coleman Hawkins' position as "Father ofThe Tenor Saxophone." Nor is there any doubt about his firmdedication to musical modernity. He is often cited as one of the firstof the "Swing Era" musicians to have embraced the revolution ofBebop, a sea-change that took the vanguard of jazz away from thebig band and back into the small combo. Indeed, many of Hawkins

mid-1940s quartet and quintet sessions were to become seminalinfluences on an even younger generation of jazzmen, including,most famously of all, Sonny Rollins. However, Hawk's interest inmore intimate musical settings had begun long before, during themid-1930s. The Hope Six Demolition Projectdraws from several journeys undertaken by Harvey, who spent time in Kosovo, Afghanistan and

Washington, D.C. over a four-year period. When Im writing a song I visualise the entire scene. I can see the colours, I can tell the time

day, I can sense the mood, I can see the light changing, the shadows moving, everything in that picture. Gathering information from

secondary sources felt too far removed for what I was trying to write about. I wanted to smell the air, feel the soil and meet the people ofthe countries I was fascinated with, says Harvey.

The album was recorded last year in residency at Londons Somerset House. The exhibition, entitled Recording in Progress saw Harve

her band, producers Flood and John Parish, and engineers working within a purpose-built recording studio behind one-way glass, observ

throughout by public audiences.
