Welcome Letter
Dear colleagues and guests,
I am delighted and honored to invite you to take part in the 27th Annual Congress of the Lebanese Society of Anesthesiologists, and the 20th French-Lebanese Symposium. It is my pleasure to serve the LSA again as President and host.
The organizing and scientific committees of this year acknowledge the tremendous and outstanding accomplishments done by the precedent LSA presidents and committees. This year we worked in line with their efforts and added subjects previously not discussed and stressed on others by including related updates. All of this drops in the spirit of continuity and improvement of the conference.Besides worldwide-distinguished anesthesiologist, this year I included monitored Anesthesia Chief Residents presentations to stress on the importance of C.M.E. and in the purpose of training and involving them in their future careers.
Hence, this congress will be involving the most junior to the most senior anesthetists, in the same essence of the saying “when you stop learning you should stop practicing”.
Dear colleagues, the theme for this year’s meeting is “Anesthesia an Art beyond Sleeping”. It is a fact and a concrete happening that anesthetists are involved in all fields of medicine. This is well evident in the diversity of subjects discussed in the scientific program.
Do not miss our very rich social program, including sightseeing tours of the beautiful and marvelous Lebanon, food tasting from our rich “Mezza” and the Gala Dinner.
I conclude by addressing our lecturers from the USA, Europe and Arab countries by saying that it is a pleasure and honor to have you with us this year.
