dry constructions UNIFIX system

UNIFIX is a dry building system for the construction of partitions,

curtain walls and outdoor ceilings characterized by divisions

subjected to moisture and frost, suspended ceilings and walls in

interiors with high relative moisture and high temperatures.

UNIFIX system offers excellent innovative solutions thanks to the high benefits of UNIPAN® panels. These panels, made up with cement and other components, are characterized by the surface finishing with double layer of fiberglass and polymeric coating. It makes them ideal for the external use, given that they support frost, water and lengthy humidity conditions.

Our technical department is available to provide all necessary technical details and choose the building solution which can better satisfy the needs of your project.

Advantages

Easy to assembly

High benefits

More useful area

Ideal for refurbishment

Compared with the most traditional construction systems, UNIFIX with its dry assembly allows adapt its curvature, even in the case of particularly complex architectural constructions providing advantages both in performance and economic results.

That becomes into significant savings due to the better performance of labor, equipment and support structures, with an optimization in terms of logistics, movement of materials and overall work management.

A significant saving in weight with the same wall thickness, with the advantage of increasing the presence of insulating material and a considerable flexibility in mounting. This allows obtaining a high performance in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation and fire behavior and also increasing seismic resistance compared to traditional buildings.

Some of the unique features of this system are: resistance to water, fire, frost, and unassailable by fungi and bacteria in a saturated moisture and vapor ambient. The reduction on fall thickness with the same performance produces an increase in the available surface area with an obvious advantage in terms of economic yields.

It isn’t needed to reinforce the building’s structure due to the weight reduction.

innovative solution in the architecture’s limits

Environmental Sustainability

• Less energy consumption for heating and airconditioning resulting in lower CO emissions.

• Reduction in the consumption of resources (waterand materials), due to the controlled industrialproductive cycle.

• Less contamination in the construction and transportphase through the weight reduction and the volumeof the materials used.

• Less weight and more useful area in the building withthe same surface.

Constructive Characteristics

• This system provides different grades of solutionsof thermic and acoustic insulation to advancedbuildings type A

• High seismic performance in lightweight structures, due to the high ductility of the steel structures withless total weight of the product.

• Construction of concave or convex walls in situ withthe dry bendability capacity with a radius of 150 cm(UNIPAN board) and 15 cm (UNIFLEX board) with12.5 mm thickness.

• High grade of salubrity, even in extreme situations, thanks to complete inorganic components andspecial production technologies that prevent theformation of mold and moisture.

The UNIFIX system of SOLEXIN allows the designers expressing new ideas and exploring new construction ways. Developing new models to interpret the architectural space with an absolute originality.

UNIFLEX boards, with bendability radius of 15 cm, allow design solutions which were unattainable until now.

There aren’t any systems with such flexibility grade; UNIFLEX is a unique and patented system that the most innovative designers have successfully experimented. With its high resistance characteristics able to bear the most adverse climatological characteristics, such as high temperatures, high humid ambient and the presence of frost.

Unlike other similar products, UNIPAN boards are classified in “A category” in the resistance to atmospheric agents. This classification can demonstrate through its experimental tests carried out with the conformity of the European standard EN 12467 its suitability for applications suffering from high temperatures, high moisture and high frosts.

Facade constructive systems

The activity of SOLEXIN in the field of architecture is based on the implementation of

systems tailored to the needs of the customer, as part of the environmental conditions

in which builds and above all, in relation to the architectural language of the designer.

SOLEXIN systems are a set of catalogue products, but a series of systems and types

of facade that properly adapted and designed, become the solution required by the

client and the designer.

This is possible thanks to the experience of SOLEXIN with a team of engineers with

extensive experience in the fields of thermal and acoustic insulation, fire protection

and structural calculations. With the ability to communicate with customers and

offering specialized solutions in collaboration with renowned architecture firms.

Flexible solutions to environment

with ambient problems such as:

Spas

Swimming pools

Gyms

Thermal Rooms

Entertainment auditoriums

Restaurants

Discos

The system allows solutions not only in extreme situations that are characterized by the constant presence of high moisture, such as swimming pools and spas, but also in bays such as basements, gyms, etc... The constant presence of water and humidity, such as in spas, requires solutions that keep dry the electrical and technical networks.

UNIFIX system has solutions for indoor, with panels that do not alter its mechanical characteristics with the presence of moisture (not swell) and guarantee optimal protection. A system of partition walls that provides values of thermal and acoustic insulation performance superior to conventional walls and easier installation of domotic networks, both in new buildings and renovations.

The divisions are lighter and less bulky to obtain the same performance. The assembling systems are fast and "dry-conditions" and do not require special equipment or water treatment. The surfaces are immediately ready for the application of the finish, thanks to the elimination of the "drying time" typical in traditional buildings.

building products CE brand

One of the principles of the

European Union is the free

movement of goods, this

principle applies to the

creation of a large European

single market and the

elimination of trade barriers

posed by different technical

regulations in force in each

Member State

It is therefore necessary to establish harmonized technical standards at European level to replace the existing technical standards in different countries and at the same time ensuring a high level of safety in the use of the products. This requirement is a key role in the field of construction products, including a variety of products ranging from glass, stone and similar products. Windows and doors, plasterboard, geotextiles and membranes of the wood and of the insulation products, also the number of people involved, manufacturing companies, public administration, real estate, construction companies, maintenance, etc. The high interlinkages in this sector with the influence of the customs and laws of each country (or region) and issues related to territory and climate makes the harmonization of technical standards and regulations is required.

Regulation nº 305/2011

This Regulation lays down conditions for the introduction on the market or marketing of construction products by establishing harmonized rules on how to express the performance of construction products in relation to their essential characteristics and on the use of CE marking on those products. The regulation also specifies that may be placed on the market only construction products suitable for the intended use, as products with characteristics that once supplied to construction works, they could meet the following requirements.

- Mechanical resistance and stability (to avoid collapse, deformation or otherdamage)

- Safety in case of fire (in case of fire, the emergence and spread of fire and smoke islimited and the occupants can be rescued without compromising the safety of therescuers at risk)

- Hygiene, health and environment (materials and components that cannot producetoxic gases or water pollution and soil)

- Safety and accessibility in use (installation and use does not pose a risk ofaccidents)

- Protection against noise (noise perceived by the occupants or people nearby shouldnot be detrimental to your health)

- Energy saving and thermal insulation (energy consumption during use is moderate)- Sustainable use of natural resources (to ensure durability, recyclability and reuse of

construction and materials).

As noted above, the essential requirements are applied to both the product and thefinal assembly building. A CE marking product is "a product suitable for the intendeduse" is not the result of chance operations, but a process characterized by theproduction control and organization of the production process. The CE markensures that the construction product is in conformity with all applicable provisionsof European directives. In particular, the CE marking is appropriate when it meets the following conditions:

- The product meets technical standards (harmonized European Standard-Harmonized), or with the corresponding standards harmonized national standard.

- In the case where there are no harmonized standards, the product complies withnational standards recognized by the European Commission, which allows you tobenefit from the presumption of conformity. The texts of national standards thatmeet the essential requirements are communicated to the Commission by theMinistry of Industry relevant.

- The product meets European technical approval "DEE".

technical harmonization regulation 305/2011

The CE mark indicates that the construction product meets national standards transposing harmonized European technical standards (NEA) and the label bearing the CE marking must indicate:

- Name and registered address of the manufacturer (or importer or distributor)- Unique identification code of the product-type- The last two digits of the year of the first placement of the mark- Reference number of the declaration of performance- Level or class of the performance declared- Number of the harmonized standards applied or DEE- Number of the notified body- Intended use of the product

In summary, the CE marking has the mission to ensure the consumer (= the buyer), confirming that marked construction products meet the essential requirements on safety and have passed the tests required by specific technical standards. The aim is that the manufacturer can put products on the market and cannot be confused with another brand. The CE marking shall be affixed on the product, visibly, legibly and indelibly marked, and if not possible, alternative packaging, alternatively in commercial documents accompanying and fixing marks (on the product / brand / packaging / documents) marks or inscriptions likely to avoid confusion with the CE mark.

European technical documents

In addition to compliance with harmonized technical standards EN, a product cannot have the CE mark unless it complies with European Assessment Document (EAD), which will be prepared by the OEt (Agency for Technical Evaluation) at the request of the manufacturer of the corresponding product. The DEE " a favorable technical evaluation " of the product for the intended use based on the correspondence to the essential requirements for building works in which the product is to be used.

It can be issued when:

a) the product does not fall within the scope of any existing harmonized standard;b) at least one essential characteristic of that product, the assessment method

foreseen in the harmonized standard is not appropriate, orc) the harmonized standard does not provide for any assessment method, at least

one essential characteristic of that product.

The final concession document after evaluating the OTS renamed ETE (European Technical Assessment) which is defined as the documented assessment of the performance of a construction product in relation to its essential characteristics, in accordance with the corresponding European Assessment Document.

Whenever there is a European Assessment Document can be issued a European technical evaluation even if it had approved a mandate for a harmonized standard. The European Technical Assessment shall include the performance to be declared, by levels or classes, or in a description, of those essential characteristics agreed between the manufacturer and the TAB which has lodged the application for the declared intended use, and technical details necessary for implementing the system of assessment and verification of constancy of performance.

Certificate of conformity In order to fully apply the principles of quality that Regulation 305/2011 refers, is expected to issue the certificate of conformity various tests and inspections carried out by the authorized manufacturer and / or an authorized organism according to a system which depends on the type of product. More simply, the manufacturer or his authorized in the European Community representative must certify, on their own or through an approved certification body, that the products meet the requirements of technical specifications in accordance with the assessment procedures laid down in Regulation.

The certificate of conformity, is a system that defines the set of checks and controls to be performed in a certain product and its implementation responsibilities between the manufacturer and the notified body. It consists of the following series of checks and controls:

- Initial type testing of the product (in English, initial type testing, the acronym Itt) to bemade, when appropriate, by the manufacturer or an approved body;

- Periodic testing of control samples taken at the factory, on the market or on site bythe manufacturer (self-control) or an approved body;

- Implementation of a process control system factory (Factory Production Control,abbreviated Fpc), as a producer;

- Adoption of a control system of the manufacturing process, by an authorized body.

There are some systems of conformity certification:

System 1+

System 1

System 2+

System 3

System 4

Conformity certification system

The certification system of conformity can be defined as the degree of seriousness with which a product is controlled in the factory and on the market, and is defined in Regulation 305/2011 of building products. The severity of control is indicated for each product standard. This regulation defines the elements that characterize the certification procedures of conformity. Certification systems of conformity, the functions of the authorized bodies and obligations for manufacturers are detailed in the aforementioned Regulation 305/2011 of construction products (RPC).

Application of the standard

In Spain Regulation 305/2011 is being collected by the draft royal decree that bears his name. With regard to the timetable for implementing Regulation which is provided for each construction product in a period of coexistence in the European market for the products of the CE mark and CE mark products, at the end of that period, the EC is mandatory. In practice, a period of time is left for producers to provide for applying the requirements of regulations and the entry into force and the expiry of this period varies depending on the product. This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. However, Articles 3-28, Articles 36-38, Articles 56-63 and Articles 65 and 66, and Annexes I, II, III and V shall apply from 1 July 2013. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all member States. For flat fiber cement sheets harmonized standard EN 12467 is the reference, which came into force on 01/01/2006 and the end of the coexistence of products CE marked and unmarked expired on 01/01/2007.

EN 12467 standard

EN 12467 standard " flat fiber-cement sheets - Product specification and test methods" describes the requirements that fiber-cement sheets must have (to allow use in construction must meet the 6 essential requirements) in order to obtain the CE marking.

The standard specifies the technical requirements, define the methods of inspection and testing and defines the conditions for the acceptance of fiber cement flat boards for one or more of the following uses:

- Exterior coating boards- Lining board for interior walls and ceilings

Composition, appearance and finishing

The boards considered in the standard are composed of cement or calcium silicate formed from a chemical reaction of the siliceous and calcareous material, reinforced by fibers. The cement must meet the requirements of EN 197-1 or alternatively the technical specifications of the nation that uses the board. The reinforcing fibers must have the following composition:

- Fibers selected without established provision.- Textured continuous- Net

The boards can have the surface " finish " or "raw”, can be colored or left in its original color and receive transparent or colored coatings.

Classification of the board

The fiber cement sheets are divided into:

- 2 types according to their composition (At type and Nt)- Four categories according to their weather ability (Category A, B, C, D)- 5 classes according to their flexural strength- 2 level according to their dimensional tolerances

As for the composition, the standard considers two types of sheets of reinforced concrete:

- Type boards at the composition contains asbestos.- Nt type boards whose composition does not contain asbestos.

The manufacturer shall certify the presence and release of asbestos particles and harmful substances. In Europe it is not allowed to products containing asbestos, for example, AT type boards cannot be used in the European market are marketed.

With respect to resistance to atmospheric agents, the standard considers the following categories:

- cat. A boards ready to withstand conditions of high temperature, high moistureand heavy frost

- cat. B boards arranged to withstand conditions of high temperature, moisture, andsometimes icy. The leaves should always be protected and should not be subject to extreme environmental conditions.

- cat. C boards for indoor applications where they can be exposed to hightemperatures and moisture, but not for the ice.

- cat. D boards for indoor applications where they can be exposed to hightemperatures and moisture, but not for the ice.

technical harmonization EN 12467 standard

The standard provides for the execution of specific tests to determine the characteristics of durability of the boards, according to the category to which they belong must be subjected to tests involving the measurement of the flexural strength at the end of a predetermined number of freeze-thaw cycles and cycles of wetting – drying.

For categories A, B and D, the standard provides a leak-proof water: there may be signs of moisture on the board, but should not be the formation of water droplets. For boards that belong to the D category should be conducted measuring water vapor permeability.

The legislation also provides for the Evaluation of Fire reaction boards, with the presumption that belongs to the class A1, defined by Directive 96/603 / EC in conformity with EN 13501-1

5 classes according to their flexural strength In regards to the flexural strength of the boards classification, it is made into 5 classes

characterized by different values of the modulus of rupture minimum " MOR “, expressed in megapascals (MPa). The value is calculated from the average of the tests performed on the board in both directions. Boards for categories A and B, the minimum value of the modulus of rupture is evaluated in a "wet " environment, while boards in categories C and D will be evaluated under "normal environmental conditions

2 levels according to their dimensional tolerances

In relation to dimensional tolerances, the standard identifies two levels, characterized by the maximum values of the tolerances for the length, width, thickness, and angle adjusting brackets. The boards must meet all the requirements related to the same level of tolerance.

The dimensional tolerances values are: Width and length tolerances

Nominal dimension “a” Level 1 Level 2 “a” ≤ 600 mm ± 3 mm ± 4 mm 600 mm < “a” ≤ 1000 mm ± 3 mm ± 5 mm 1000 mm < “a” ≤ 1600 mm ± 0,3% “a” ± 0,5% “a” 1600 mm < “a” ± 5 mm ± 8 mm Note: " a" is the nominal length specified by the manufacturer or width.

Thickness tolerance Boards “without finishing”

Nominal thickness “e” Level 1 e 2 “e” ≤ 6 mm ± 0,6 mm 6 mm < “e” ≤ 20 mm ± 10% “e” “e” > 20 mm ± 2 mm Note: "e" is the nominal thickness of the sheets.

The difference between the maximum and minimum value of the measured thickness on a single board should not exceed 10 % of the maximum measured value.

Boards “for decorative uses”

Nominal thickness “e” Level 1 e 2 “e” ≤ 6 mm – 0,6 mm + 0,9 mm6 mm < “e” ≤ 20 mm – 10% “e” + 15% “e”“e” > 20 mm – 2 mm + 3 mmNote: "e" is the nominal thickness of the sheets.

The difference between the maximum and minimum values of the thickness of a single sheet detected in 8 measures provided by the standard, should not exceed 15 % of the maximum measured value.

Tolerances for aligning the corners:

They apply only in the case of large boards (boards with greater than 0.4 m surface and the length / width ratio greater than 3) and are shown in the following table:

Level 1 Level 2 0,1% 0,3%

Tolerances related to the angles of the board:

Level 1 Level 2 2 mm/m 4 mm/m
