Facility Program Information – Life Enrichment
Belmont Village’s MBA Club builds on the findings of studies suggesting that a combination of specially designed activities that engage our mind, body, and spirit contribute to a healthy brain. The program combines four elements that work together to boost brain health: specifically designed mental activities, physical exercise, spiritual and creative pursuits, and nutritional guidance including a diet with designated “brain foods” from our menu.
Membership in the MBA Club is free of charge and open to our Independent and Assisted Living residents who want to maintain mental fitness. Membership includes:
• Personal trainer to provide complete mental fitness pre-assessment, establish personal goals, and track progress
• Fitness workbook for storing goal sheets, class materials and progress updates
• Fun, supportive monthly meetings to share experiences with other members, give encouragement, and receive feedback

Facility Program Information – Memory Enrichment
Circle of Friends is a seven-day-a-week program created specifically for residents with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Residents continue to live in their Assisted Living apartments, dine in Josephine’s Kitchen, and participate in ability-centered activities, all within a group setting. The goal of the program is to help residents to maintain and, where possible, restore cognitive function, while boosting confidence and self-esteem.
Program highlights include:
• Dedicated, specially trained staff: Memory Programs Coordinator + Activity Assistant
• Structured, research-based programs 7 days a week
• Ongoing evaluation and support from program designer
• Increased opportunities for social interaction to reduce isolation
11
Facility Program Information – Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
• Belmont Village takes a Person-Centered Living approach to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care.
• Residents reside in a secured Neighborhood within our community and, like all of our residents, benefit from an ability-centered calendar of activities and programs designed to support mental and physical fitness.
• Activities and staff in the Neighborhood are overseen by a Memory Programs Coordinator, along with our regional memory and activity leaders and the Belmont Village gerontologist.
