JN 16:12-15Jesus said to his disciples:"I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.But when he comes, the Spirit of truth,he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own,but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me,because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.Everything that the Father has is mine;for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you."

Adults: Have you been told that God is like a Father who takes care of you and loves you?

Children: Do you see Jesus as the elder brother who guides you?

The Faith Page We attend Mass not only to witness the sacrifice of Christ but to become part of it.

"I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God." - Romans 12:1

"May he [Christ] make of us an eternal offering to you [the Father], so that we may obtain an inheritance with your elect." - Eucharistic Prayer III

PAINT THE DIOCESE REDPentecost occurs 50 days after Easter and celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit. This was the great sending of the Apostles — to go out and share the Good News. Red rep-resents the Holy Spirit and you can expect to see it on display in abundance. You will see it on the altar and we are asking all parishioners to wear something red as well.

PARISHIONER OF THE MONTH

Congratulations Bob and Joyce Ruffolo

Bob and Joyce Ruffolo serve quietly, often in the background. From the choir loft, Joyce adds her voice to the Voices in Praise choir at the 9:00 AM mass at OLSS. Bob serves as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion at the same Mass, but he brings communion to the choir loft. As owners of an Atlantic City institution, Princeton Antiques & Books, the couple often connect other business owners to the parish. But the couple can be seen front and center at the Wedding of the Sea Festival, returning this Summer for its 4th year and the 2nd year with the couple as co-chairs.

WHY A SECOND COLLECTION?

About 15 times a year, the US bishops ask parishes to take a second collection for a special cause of national or international significance. For the sake of simplicity, our parish always takes a second collection. On unassigned
