The Dodgers will look to climb back to the .500 mark for the first time since they were 2-2 after play on April 1. Tomorrow, the Miami Marlins visit Chavez Ravine for the first contest of a three-game series and following a travel day to San Francisco on Thursday, L.A. will begin a season-high 11-game road trip on Friday against the Giants (four games), Diamondbacks (four games) and Padres in Monterrey, Mexico (three games). The Dodgers and Nationals split their six games last season with each team scoring exactly 16 runs in the series. Los Angeles has won 13 of the last 20, dating to the start of the 2015 campaign, including seven of the last 11 at home. This evening’s game is being broadcast nationally on ESPN (the Dodgers’ third this season) and is also the club’s first Viva Los Dodgers presented by Coca-Cola and Spectrum of the season prior to the game. Despite the 0-2 record, Wood has held the opposition to a .186 average and has posted a 0.74 WHIP, while striking out 22 agaisnt just one walk.
