· 3 to 4 bath towels

· Cutting mat

· Rotary cutter

· Scissors

· Pins

· Needle

· Thread

Instructions:1. Cut the bath towels into strips using a cutting mat and

rotary cutter (we made ours 3 inches wide).

2. Line up 3 strips. Cut off the border of the towels, if

necessary. Pin and sew together. Remove the pin.

3. Fold the sides of 1 strip in toward the center, then fold in

half. Pin to secure and repeat down the

entire length of the strip. Repeat with the other 2 strips.

4. Braid the 3 strands, removing the pins as you go. When

you reach the end, sew on more strips and continue until

you run out. Sew the end to secure.

5. Twist the long braided rope into a coil. Hand sew together

until secure.

Break Down Steps

1. Get three old towels

that you have

permission to cut up.

2. Take a scissors or a

rotary cutter and mat

and cut 3” strips down

the length of each

towel.

Break Down Steps

1. Cut off the boarders of

the towels if necessary.

2. Pin one of each color of

towel together.

3. Sew across the top of

the three towels using a

running stitch or a

sewing machine.

Break Down Steps

1. Fold towel toward the

center.

2. Fold the towel in half

one more time.

3. Pin together. Repeat all

the way down the

length and for all three

towels.

while removing the pins.

2. When you reach the end,

pin on another strip of

towel of the same color.

3. Pin all three on, and sew

across using the hand

needle or sewing machine.

braids around in a circular

pattern. You may have to

pin them together to

secure them in place.

2. Take a hand needle and

thread and create a knot

on the outer corner of the

rug. Stitch a running stitch

through the length of the

rug until secure. Repeat

until finished.
