semiconducting materials e.g. PV module.
➢Testing according to standard IEC 61215(Part 1 and
Part 2) and IEC 61730(Part 1 and Part 2)
covers both crystalline silicon and thin-film terrestrial
PV module designs.
Photovoltaic (PV) Module Testing
➢ Main test objective of the test is to determine electrical
and thermal characteristics of the PV module, whilst
checking its capability in the outdoor environment
➢ These standard covers performance and safety
requirement of the PV module

FIRE RESISTANCE TEST ON VENTILATION DUCT
FIRE RESISTANCE TEST ON VENTILATION DUCT
• These standards specify a method of test and criteria for
determination of the fire resistance of vertical and
horizontal ventilation ducts under standardized fire
conditions
• The test examines the behaviour of ducts exposed to
fire from the outside (Duct A) and fire inside the duct
(Duct B)
• The test is to measure the ability of a representative
duct or duct assembly to resist the spread of fire from
one fire compartment to another without the aid of fire
dampers

PLAYGROUND SURFACING TEST
Objective:
This guide is to be used to assist the playground
owner/operator, specifier, designer, etc., in
determining the properties that can be considered
with regard to the protective surfacing in the
playground.
It is the intent to outline the requirements associated
with design, installation, and maintenance of the
surface.
PLAYGROUND SURFACING TEST
This guide covers standards for selecting and
specifying surface systems under and around
playground equipment.
a) This guide describes how to apply existing ASTM
standards to evaluate the impact attenuation,
accessibility characteristics and product
characteristics when selecting surfacing systems for
use under and around playground equipment.
b) This guide does not imply that an injury cannot
be incurred when the surface system complies with
standards referred to in this guide.
