Recommendations for the three kinds of your fruitful college life

“Reading + Writing +Speech”

Read

There is a saying that you want to be an intellectual or an educated person then you need to read <Mun-Sa-Cheol> 600>. ‘Mun-Sa-Cheol

600’ means 300 books of literature(Munhak), 200 books of history(yeokSa), and 100 books of philosophy(Cheolhak). Therefore, it is a very

strict guidance that people can not enter the ranks of intellectuals without reading these 600 books. The benefits of reading are numerous

without the need to explain. Nothing reading can be meaning that ‘indifference to the inner world’.

Introduce recommended books that will help you develop your habit of reading even if you are busy with your studies and life.

Criteria: 42 items listed more than 3 times and 58 items more than 2 items are collected in the following six recommendation lists, and 100 items

① Seoul National University Recommended Book 100 ② Korea University Recommended Books 100 ③ Yonsei University Recommended Books 200 ④ US College Board Recommended

Writing

“The record is longer than the obvious memory.” Records are very useful, especially in school. The habit of taking notes not only helps the memory,

but also allows us to check and develop us. If you rely only on memory without writing, you can lose a lot. A simple habit of filling your own small

notebook with records every semester will be given as a gift of self-development and growth.

Speech

If you do not tell your opinion, nobody knows my thoughts. There was a time when we had a desire to know even if we did not say it. As a college

student, you have to speak your thoughts to others. Furthermore, there is often a need to argue on a topic. Discussion is a logical expression of the

based on the your grounds of each other for the subject divided into the pros and the opposing positions, and the private conversation also has a form

of discussion. Discussion (speaking) is the basic life of an intellectual.
