Who can appear or CFP?

Any person with 6 month’s experience can appear for CFP.

A 10th pass can also apply for CFP, but by the time, he completes CFP, he should have completed 12th and should have 6 years experience

Any 12th pass can also appear with 6 year’s experience.


What are 4 E?

Education, Examination, Experience and Ethics (as required under CFP)


If a student makes false statement to CFP, what will happen?

FPSB will take action against that student – he / she can be suspended for 5 years, his CFP may be revoked and he may be censured.


What is CE in CFP?

Continuing education


How many CE points have to be earned every year by CFP?

15 points are necessary for CFP renewal.


After how many days, will CFP lapse, if not renewed?

90 days.


CFP certification is valid for ?

1 year = from 1 april to 31 March.


Is experience required for graduate also?

Yes = he should have 3 years experience.


I invest Rs. 50000 in a deposit, which pays interest 8% half yearly compounding, what is my amount after 3 years? Interest rate is 4% (8/2 N = 6 (interest is calculated 6 times

during 3 years) =50000*(1.04)^6 =63266 approx.


I take a loan of Rs. 50000. Interest rate 10% quarterly compounding. I repay loan after 4 years. How much will I pay? =Rate of interest = 10/4 =2.5% or .025 N = 4 times a year in 4 years = 16 50000*(1.025)^16 =74225 answer.


I invest Rs. 28000 for 5 years. Rate of interest is 12% compounding monthly for 3 years and then compounding quarterly for next 2 years. What will be my maturity amount?

R =12/12 =1% or .01, N=12*3 = 36 28000*(1.01)^36= 40061 Now Rate = 12/4 =3% or .03, N =4*2=8 Next 2 years: 40061*(1.03)^8 =50748 answer.


I want to get Rs. 150000 after 3 years. Interest rate is 8% annual compounding. How much should I invest every year or How much I invest today (one amount)?

Amt (1.08)^3=150000 Amt = 150000/1.2597 =119074 answer (one amount) FV of annuity = (Amt(1.08)^3-1)/.08)=150000 Amt =150000/3.24 =46296 per annum to be deposited answer.


To get a maturity amount of Rs. 100000 after 4 years, how much should be invested today, if ROI is 9.75% half yearly compounding? Interest rate =9.75/2 = 4.875 %

or .04875 N = 2*4 = 8 years. Amt (1.04875)^8=100000 Amt =100000/1.46344 =68332 answer.
