LOGGING OUT OF THE SERVER
• To log out of a Fiery server, click Log out on the
slider shown below.
• Command WorkStation will automatically quit when

• To download PostScript files, PDF files, and fonts, use
the Utilities slider to click the Fiery Downloader icon.
• Connections to Fiery servers that are not currently
displayed with Command WorkStation may be
initiated when opening Fiery Downloader.

• Job ticketing information appears at the top of the
Queues and Archive windows.
• Job ticketing information may be set to include the
user’s PPD settings and Notes Field entries.
• Desired job ticketing information fields may be placed
in a custom order.

which send jobs to
specified queues —

1 RIPped and Held
2 Printed and Held

• Displays jobs spooling to the Fiery to be printed.
• Printing to the “Hold” queue from a workstation will
cause the job to be held in the Spool queue (with a
yellow highlight). Such a job has not been ripped.

printed jobs are moved to Spool or RIP)
RIP the job and hold it in the RIP area.
Remove the raster data from a job—remain-
ing PostScript is left in current queue.

• Fiery FreeForm enables the user to print variable
data documents.
• Each document has a Master file and a Variable file.
• The CWS user interface allows the operator to assign
identity numerals to Master and Variable files.

• Once Master and Variable identity numerals have
been assigned, Fiery FreeForm combines the
documents to create a final product.

several ways. To view a specific topic from the Home page, simply click its
icon. Each topic contains several pages of information. To move amongst
them, click the Last and Next buttons at the bottom of each page.
Access to much of the same information may be accomplished by clicking
areas of the Interface Overview page. Buttons for the Home and Interface
Overview pages are located at the bottoms of all pages.
PRINTINGJust as with most PDF files, Using Command Workstation may be printed
with the Print command found in the File menu of your viewing application.
