Using the FORMED Catholic video App in the St. Laurence CCE Classrooms

Step 1: Log in to the CHROME internet browser on the classroom device

• Turn on the TV power, making sure the INPUT is set at HDMI2 (or HDMI3 in some classrooms)

• Turn on the CHROME keyboard controller; this should load/recognize CHROME and request the

room log in credentials

• Log in: rmXXX@stlaurence.org where ‘XXX’ is the 3-digit classroom number (this number is also

listed on the keyboard); Password: password!7

• You are new free to open tabs in the CHROME/Google browser

Step 2: Go to FORMED.org in a new browser tab and live stream the video. You will see:

Once you click SIGN IN, you will see

Each CCE classroom has already

been set up with a unique

account to access FORMED using

the CHROME log in email

address. No need to sign up

again. Proceed to ‘SIGN IN.’

So long as the prior

FORMED user on

the classroom

device did not sign

out of the app when

they were finished,

there is no need to

re-enter the log in

credentials. Simply

click on ‘Start

Watching’ to

browse and play.

Select and watch the video of your choice:

When you are finished viewing, please DO NOT sign out of the FORMED app. Rather, just close the

browser tab so that the next class can readily access the videos without having to authenticate the

classroom device again. Remember to close out all browser tabs and turn off the keyboard/controller

switch.

NOTE THAT IF THE PRIOR USER SIGNED OUT OF FORMED on the classroom device, you will need to

sign in again using the classroom specific credentials before being able to view any videos. You will

get the notice below requesting this:

In response to the SIGN IN, FORMED will send a verification email (see below) to the classroom email

address from which the app must be launched. To launch the app, you will have to open the

classroom GMAIL account, open the authentication email click on the link to open FORMED.

Open the FORMED Sign in email and click the link to launch the app on the classroom device.

Proceed to the desired video. When you are finished viewing, please DO NOT sign out of the FORMED

app. Rather, just close the browser tab so that the next class can readily access the videos without

having to authenticate the classroom device again. Remember to close out all browser tabs and turn

off the keyboard/controller switch.
