Please read all instructions before beginning. Pre-washing NOT recommended.

Yardages and Cutting WOF is 42" width of fabric from selvage edge to selvage edge. Remove as little fabric as possible when removing

selvages and squaring strip ends.

Venetian Tiles panel • Trim to 23 1/2" x 39 1/2", keeping motif centered.

3/4 yard multicolor medallions • Fussy-cut (4) 7 1/2" squares, centering an aqua

medallion in each.

1/2 yard coral medallions

1/2 yard green medallions • Fussy-cut (4) 7 1/2" squares each fabric, centering

an aqua motif in each green square and a

purple motif in each coral square.

1 yard aqua medallions • Fussy-cut (8) 7 1/2" squares, centering an aqua

medallion in each.

3/4 yard purple vines

• 1 strip 7 1/2" x WOF; cut into (20) 1 1/2" x 7 1/2"

strips.

• 8 strips 1 1/2" x WOF; trim into 4 each 41 1/2" and

39 1/2" strips.

3/4 yard aqua vines • 6 strips 3 1/2" x WOF for border.

3/8 yard pink vines • 1 strip 4" x WOF; cut into (4) 4" squares.

• 6 strips 1" x WOF for border.

5/8 yard blue-violet vines • 6 strips 2 1/2" x WOF for border.

5/8 yard navy vines • 7 strips 2 1/4" x WOF for binding.

4 yards of 42" backing fabric OR

4 7/8 yards of directional backing fabric • 2 strips 68" x WOF OR

• 2 strips 84" x WOF for directional fabric

OR

2 yards wide backing fabric • 1 piece 68" x 84"

Batting • 1 piece 68" x 84"

Completing the Quilt Use a 1/4" seam allowance for all stitching. Press seams as directed.

1. Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the 4" pink squares.

2. Place a marked square right sides together on 1 corner of the panel. Sew on the line. Trim seam allowance

1/4" out from the stitching. Press the pink triangle open. Repeat on each corner of the panel referring to the exploded

quilt diagram for placement of the diagonal line on each corner.

Repeat on each corner of the panel

3. Sew 2 green, 2 aqua and 1 coral medallion squares together with (4) 1 1/2" x 7 1/2" purple strips to make a 7

1/2" x 39 1/2" strip. Press seams toward the purple strips. Stitch1 1/2" x 39 1/2" purple strips to each long side to

complete the 9 1/2" x 39 1/2" left side strip. Press seams toward the purple strips. Repeat to make the right side strip.

Stitch the strips to the long sides of the panel. Press seams toward the strips.

4. Stitch 2 multicolor, 2 aqua and 1

coral medallion squares together with (6)

1 1/2" x 7 1/2" purple strips to make the

7 1/2" x 41 1/2" top strip. Press seams

toward the purple strips. Sew 1 1/2" x

41 1/2" purple strips to each long side to

complete the 9 1/2" x 41 1/2" top strip.

Press seams toward the purple strips.

Repeat to make the bottom strip. Sew the

strips to the top and bottom of the panel

section to complete the 41 1/2" x 57 1/2"

quilt center. Press seams toward the

strips.

5. Sew the 3 1/2" x WOF aqua vine

strips short ends together to make a long

strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into 2

strips each 57 1/2" and 47 1/2". Stitch the

longer strips to the sides of the quilt

center and the shorter strips to the top and

bottom. Press seams toward the strips.

6. Repeat step 5 with the 1" x WOF

pink vine strips, cutting 2 strips each

63 1/2" and 48 1/2".

7. Repeat with the 2 1/2" x WOF

blue-violet vine strips to complete the

quilt, cutting 2 strips each 64 1/2" and

52 1/2".

8. If using 42" backing fabric,

remove the selvage edges from the

backing pieces. Join the pieces on the long edges with a 1/2" seam allowance. Press seam open. Trim to make the 68"

x 84" backing piece.

9. Layer the quilt top with the backing and batting pieces. Quilt as desired. Trim batting and backing even with

the top.

10. Join the navy vine binding strips on the short ends with diagonal seams to make a long strip. Press seams in

one direction. Press the strip in half along the length with wrong sides together.

11. Bind the quilt edges using your favorite method to complete the quilt.
