Support for International Students: The Office of Student Academic Services assists with academics, support for English language learners, visa questions, internship and employment opportunities in the U.S., travel, and related issues. Other resources include the international student pre-orientation program, Friendship Family Program (connect-ing international students with local families), United World College Scholars advising, and the Office of Student Diversity Programs.

Men’s and Women’s Varsity Sports: 19 varsity teams participate as members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III. Skidmore is a founding member of the Liberty League.

Clubs and Organizations: Skidmore has an active cocurricular life with more than 120 different clubs and organizations for students.

2017–18 COLLEGE COSTS AND FINANCIAL AID

Tuition/fees: $50,684; room: $7,998 (dorm double); and meals: $5,532.

Skidmore annually gives more than $42 million in financial aid, with 99% awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need. The average first-year financial aid package for international students is more than $55,000. Skidmore is a Davis partner school of the United World Colleges.

International students applying for aid are required to file the College Board’s College Scholarship Service Financial Aid PROFILE (see www.collegeboard.com).

STANDARDIZED TESTING Skidmore College requires applicants to submit SAT I or ACT scores if English is not their first language and they have not attended a high school for at least three years where English is the only language of instruction.

The TOEFL (96 minimum) or IELTS (7.0 minimum) is also required if English is not the applicant's first language. Applicants who have attended a high school for at least three years where English is the only language of instruction or are enrolled in an IB diploma program can have this TOEFL/IELTS requirement waived.

The application deadline for regular admission candidates is January 15.

The Admissions Office stresses the importance of early filing of all materials, especially for international students.
