FROM SR. FLORENCIA A note to all youth ministers from Kali DiMarco , St. Philip, Norwalk: “All youth ministers have been invited to a meeting to discuss the new Code of Conduct that is in the process of being drafted. Please take advantage of this unique and important chance to have input in this challenging effort. If our ministry is to be strong and free to grow, we must have a code of conduct the helps , not hinders our work. This is the chance to be heard and make a difference. I know personally that Erin and Flo need our input, thoughts and frustrations. This is a time to speak, not to be silent. I am more than confident that we can have a code in place that ensures both the safety of our youth and meets the goals of youth ministry.” Meeting of all those who minister to the youth with Bishop Caggiano: I am updating the shared file about our meeting. I have received the notes form table 8 & 9. Please send me any notes that you have so that I can continue to update it. Feel free to look at it, comment or email me to make any changes. Here are some pictures of the event. Safe Environments: Please join us for our safe environments open discussion here at the diocese of April 24 at 3pm. Please make every effort to come or send someone to represent you. Youth representation at the synod: I will send out a separate email for this by the end of the week. I know many of you have questions but the process will be a little different to what I had said originally. I will send updated as soon as I receive a final ok. If you have any activities in your parish that you would like to share with other people in the diocese, please send me that information and I will include it in the next newsletter.
