2 VILLAGE THEATRE AND ART GALLERY
INTRODUCTIONRecognized as a historic site by the
Heritage Resource Commission, the Village Theatre serves as a performing arts theatre with a fine arts gallery located in the lobby. Since the Town of Danville purchased the Village Theatre in 1987, it has opened its curtains to a variety of book lectures, concerts, film festivals, meetings, movie screenings, musicals, performances for youth and adults, plays and special events. In November 2013, the Village Theatre celebrated its centennial anniversary which included a Gala Event and Centennial Celebration where dignitaries and notable figures gathered to recount the variety of uses this historic building has undergone. Join us in our 101st year and enjoy the wide range of entertainment this building has to offer.
Visit the Romancing the Arts in the Tri-Valley event held February 12-22, 2015. Romancing the Arts will be an accumulation of cultural arts events happening throughout the Tri-Valley which will include theatre performances, fine arts, literary arts, culinary arts and wine, and music.
