Dear Community,

It is my joy to serve as director of Agape’s Youth and Family Ministry whose goal it is to offer spiritual teachings that birth the next phase of each child’s unique process of evolution. It is our conviction that through a realization of oneness with the

Spirit, children are graced with confidence in the goodness of the universe, the unconditional love of God.

Love is the essential foundation of all that we teach, speak and do in the Youth Village. So for every program we provide a stage for our children to express their unique gifts and talents so that they may actualize their divine purpose for being on the planet.

We offer an atmosphere where children are taught the universal spiritual principles governing the universe as practiced by Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Sri Aurobindo, Joel Goldsmith, Howard Thurman, Ernest Holmes, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi, Dr. Michael Beckwith and other spiritual luminaries. Reflecting the perennial wisdom of the ages, these principles are found at the heart of the world’s spiritual traditions.

We aspire to create an environment wherein each child may realize his/her true nature as an individualized expression of God through meditation, affirmative prayer, sacred literature, sacred service, art, dance, poetry, games, sacred movement, storytelling, creative expression, music and participation in the spiritual community. The Agape Youth Village includes:

In addition, we sponsor the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Mentoring Programs which were created to guide our young adults on their journey into adulthood fully empowered to take their place in society. Programs include tutoring and skill development in the areas of spiritual practices, academic achievement, career exploration, job skills and service projects. We appreciate your family’s presence and participation in the Agape Youth Village. We celebrate your life and look forward to supporting the spiritual unfoldment of your family.

Peace and blessings,

Please read this special message from Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith to you, the parents and guardians of the beloved children within the Agape Youth Village.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

A heartfelt welcome to you and your children as you join the beloved Community today to worship, pray and play.

If you have ever attended a christening at Agape, then you have no doubt heard me say that “it takes a child to raise a village.” As the Master Teacher aptly put it, “…for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” Honoring the uniqueness that manifests through and as every child who walks through our doors forms the basis of Agape’s Youth Village and Teen Ministry programs.

Our class instructors approach interacting with their students with the recognition that each child is a full representation the Spirit. Their class lessons teach the universal spiritual principles governing the universe that instruct children in how to cultivate their talents, gifts and innate capacity to live their highest potential. Through experiential participation, creativity and dialogue, students of all ages learn how to cultivate a personal relationship with the Spirit to which they may turn again and again throughout their daily experiences for comfort, guidance, strength and unconditional love. Agape’s culturally diverse community offers its students an opportunity to appreciate God’s wardrobe of many colors, a variety of languages, cultural traditions and celebrations.

The guidelines described on the following pages have been prayerfully and thoughtfully designed to maximize your child’s experience, as well as giving you the peace of mind you deserve so that you may be fully present while attending the adult service. I encourage you to read the entire document and familiarize yourself with its details so that you and your child may experience to the utmost your worship service of spiritual celebration that unites us as a community and goes out into our world as a blessing.

Peace and blessings,

Dr. Michael Bernard BeckwithFounder and Spiritual Director

requirements, please be sure to pack a snack for them

along with instructions for serving it.

Our purpose is to create an environment of love, respect, trust and honesty wherein our teens may awaken to their innate wholeness and deliver their gifts, talents and skills with confidence that they are divinely supported in all that they do.

Agape’s teen program is designed to support this dynamic group of our future leaders in their walk of self-discovery. Our classes are designed to assist them in cultivating skillful means for moving in the world with confidence, integrity, creativity and a sense of joy. The weekly lesson theme is drawn from the Youth and Family Ministry monthly theme, and is further embodied through the practice of affirmative prayer and meditation. Teens are encouraged to participate in the group discussions on issues relevant to their daily lives in an atmosphere of openness and trust.
