_________________PRESS RELEASE_________________ VINITALY 2015: DIRECT OVERSIGHT OF THE MARKETS IS THE KEY OF SUCCESS FOR ZONIN 1821 With a Top Level Reshuffled Board the Zonin Family Company opens Zonin China, hires a New Marketing Director at Zonin USA, dedicates Local Resources in South America, South East and Middle East Asia, asserts itself as Market Leader in Australia and increases its Presence in the most prestigious Top Venues in the World. With a production of 43 million bottles in 2014, ZONIN1821 has confirmed its position as a genuine leader of Italian wine exports on an international level, with a significant presence in more than 100 markets and export figures representing 78% of the company's total sales volume in 2014 that closed at 160 million (+ 4% compared to 154 million in 2013). The Zonin Family company felt a top level restructure of its board necessary in response to this notable global growth: at the end of 2014 Domenico Zonin - President Gianni’s eldest son and President of national body of Unione Italiana Vini- was appointed Chief Executive Officer, while International Director Massimo Tuzzi took on the new role of General Manager. Dynamism and openness to the world, as well as the soundness of a vintners family roots, are the distinctive values for this new era of the Zonin Family Company, proud to welcome guests at its Vinitaly stand (Stand F5, Hall 4) with a new corporate visual, ZONIN1821, as a clear sign of a new strategic company development, more and more focused on a direct oversight of International markets. Effective April 2015, Emanuele Siena is joining Zonin USA as new Marketing Director. Thanks to his high professional domestic and International marketing background – with a special focus on the food and beverage business - Emanuele will develop and implement innovative strategies for Zonin USA business unit, achieving new important marketing and communication goals. Thanks to the very positive results obtained with the business units Zonin Usa and Zonin Uk, ZONIN1821 decided to empower its competitiveness in China, opening Zonin China, its new business unit in Shanghai, with a high professional team of 4 managers. Massimo Tuzzi, GM of the company, stated: “ The Chinese market is in big expansion and gives us great satisfaction, especially in the second tier and third tier cities: we closed 2014 with 850.000 turnover, over 63% more compared to 2013. We believe that this new business unit - created to manage sales and marketing locally and thus meet specific consumer demands and requests – will further help us grow our sales vigorously, with a 2015 goal of about 1.300.000 turnover”. Beside Zonin business units, local area managers in Germany and Canada have long provided proximity to German and Canadian markets and allowed the study of future trends in those countries. Since the choice of having our men on the field has been particularly successful, new managers dedicated to the Nordic countries, South America, Middle East and South East Asia joined the Zonin team too, in order to increase our awareness of those more and more strategic areas. ZONIN1821 ’s strength steadly proves to be its multi-branded portfolio with dedicated range to OFF & ON trade and its wide assortment covering all the price segments from premium to top tier wines. In 2014 the company qualified at the 18th position in the Drinks International magazine "Top 50 World Most Admired Wine Brands". Many countries show an increasing appreciation for our wines.
