The Banner is an integral part of the Walk, in that every
Pilgrim will have one. The banner should be no larger than 24” x 36” and should be brought Thursday night of the
weekend, but do not let your Pilgrim see it. Include your Pilgrim’s favorite hymn, scripture, faith moment, color or anything else that is meaningful to them in order to make
a banner that is unique to your Pilgrim.

Board Positions to be Elected in May
Each May, members of the Emmaus community elect members to the Board of Directors. Members are elected for terms of three years. This coming May, two positions will be elected: Communications and Pre-Emmaus. Positions to be elected in May, 2011 and a description of the positions' duties follow. The Communications board member(s) is/are responsible for editing, producing, and dis-tributing the Arizona Walk to Emmaus Rooster Tales, con-tributing articles to Conference and District newsletters, main-taining mailing lists and its related data base, and the archives of the Arizona Walk to Emmaus. The Pre-Emmaus board member(s) is/are responsible for working with all churches in Arizona in the establishment of Emmaus Church representatives to assist with the recruitment of individuals to attend Walk to Emmaus weekends, and pre-sents to the Board of Directors a plan for establishing and extending the Walk to Emmaus movement within the State of Arizona. Pre-Emmaus assists all leaders in implementing the Pre-Emmaus phase of the movement in accord with the avail-able Emmaus literature and conducts informational sessions for potential pilgrims. To be eligible for a Board position, an individual or couple, must be a member in good standing of the Emmaus Commu-nity and must also be a member in good standing of a local church. If you are interested in running for a Board position, please notify the Community Lay Director - [email protected] or call 928-526-9067 by March 15, 2011. If you would like to learn more about the functions of the Board of Directors and the time commitment for these positions, you are welcome to attend the February meeting of the Board of Directors.
