.5 cup Grapefruit juice

.5 cup Maraschino liqueur 2 tbsp Simple syrup

h e r e ’ s h owAdd all ingredients to a blender and fill with iceCover and pulse the blender until the drink has a slushy consistencyDivide the contents of the blender between 8 wine glasses and garnish each with a lime wheel

His request for a Daiquiri made with half the sugar and double the booze created an unbalanced drink: one that bartenders couldn’t help but right through the eventual addition of maraschino liqueur and grapefruit juice. To reinstate some of Hemingway’s influence, this recipe uses key lime juice and goes for a whir in the blender as the earliest Daiquiris were served over crushed ice.

Request Significant Health Insurance Rate Increases

Commissioner Karen Weldin Stewart Vows Vigorous Review(DOVER, DE) Commissioner Karen Weldin Stewart announced last week that she has received rate request filings from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware and Aetna, Inc. for individual and small group plans to be offered on Delaware’s Health Insurance Marketplace in 2016.  Highmark is asking for a 25.4% increase in the individual market, while Aetna requests a 16% increase. In the small group market, Highmark seeks a 12.7% increase, while Aetna asks for a 6.1% decrease.“Large rate increase requests like these are occurring in several states across the country and I know they will cause a hardship for many Delawareans,” said Stewart. “The increases are substantial and I’m going to do my best to reduce them. I am instructing my actuaries to examine vigorously Highmark’s and Aetna’s supporting data for the requests.” Commissioner Stewart also announced that the Insurance Department will conduct public information sessions in June to receive comment on the proposed rate increases.  The sessions will take place at the following locations in the three counties:

Mon., June 15   1pm    Del Tech Owens Campus, GeorgetownMon., June 15   6pm    Insurance Department, 841 Silver Lake Blvd., Dover

Tues., June 16   6pm    Carvel State Office Building, 820 N. French St. WilmingtonRepresentatives from Highmark and Aetna will be present at each session. Consumers and interested parties may also submit written comments to the

Department at [email protected] for 30 days betweenJune 15 and July 15, 2015.

GRAND  LEDGE,  Mich.  (AP)

A wife and husband say they both got a hole-in-one in consecutive shots at the same hole.Tony and Janet Blundy told the Lansing State Journal that their aces came while golfing recently at a course in Grand Ledge. The couple says Tony hit a hole-in-one first at the 16th hole, and Janet then equaled his feat. The newspaper says two golfers who didn't know the Blundys verified the back-to-back holes-in-one.According to contest prize insurer National Hole-in-One Association, the odds of two amateur golfers in a foursome getting an ace on the same hole in the same round are 26 million-to-1.
