b. An additional facility for measuring the constituents of Exhaust gas and smoke intensity of the same

has been purchased and added to the Heat Engines lab of Mechanical Engineering Department.The

details are:

1. AVL make 444 Digas Analyser capable of measuring CO, CO2, NOX, HC at a cost of Rs.

3,51,300.00 funded by MODROBS, AICTE.

2. AVL make smoke meter capable of measuring smoke Opacity at a cost of Rs. 1,00,000.00

PROJECT LAB An additional facility was developed by the students of Design Fabrication Project is,

1. Stir casting setup. 2. Rolling Mill. It is used to characterize the Aluminum metal matrix

composites. this facility is developed for research work for material characterization.

c. The ICI Student Chapter organized training programme on “Total Station” for the benefit of final

year students during 21.01.2014 to 24.01.2014.

e. The ICI Student Chapter organized Hands on Concret Mix Design by Mr.L.S. Kannan, AGM,

L & T, ECC Division, Manapakkam, Chennai.
