IFBI Sales Academy Thane places first batch of 12 students

SPORTY SPOTLIGHT: IFBI Chennai student B. Sushma repre-

sented Indian Ball Badminton team at Birming-

ham, United Kingdom and secured 7th position

for the country. She has been continuously repre-

senting Tamil Nadu Ball Badminton team since

2003 and has tasted success in many tourna-

ments. She has won many titles and has also been

awarded by former President of India, Dr. A.P.J

Abdul Kalam for best performance.

Recently IFBI has introduced a number of new activities in its PGDBO curriculum. One such

popular activity gives the PGDBO students an opportunity to play

the role of a Bank Teller in a simulated environment. Students are

given opening cash envelope and some guidelines. Other students

act as customers and make deposits and ask for receipts, using

dummy cash and other payment instruments.

This exciting activity has proved to be a great hit with

students and faculty and there is a buzz in the center on these

days. Students take back great learning from this event.

In the adjoining picture, you can see students of IFBI In-

dore, handling real life situations as a part of their curriculum.

If you are at an IFBI center, make sure you ask your fac-

ulty for an opportunity to view this exciting activity! All of us need to be ready for Day-1 Hour-1!

CUSTOMER APPRECIATION FOR FACULTY IFBI Faculty are the envy of industry. They combine decades of expertise with oodles of passion and a “can-do” attitude. Not a day passes without a compliment being received for our faculty from many quarters—be it students or industry. Sample this—

Mr Sukumar, Regional Manger (East) CAMS (Computer Age Management Services Pvt Ltd) says—The innovative style of narration & handling of Q&A Session was simply remarkable.

Ankit Bhoola (Pune student) says— Neel sir has this uncanny knack of explaining the difficult things in very simple way through his stories and real life examples. Derivatives was explained to us by him really well. He is a really energetic person to be around.

Aravind K says—We attended good knowledgeable lectures at IFBI. The teaching faculty at IFBI have good knowledge of the Banking Sector. Their teaching skills are very good.

IFBI Sales Academy Thane has placed its first batch of 12 students in ICICI Bank in the month of Dec’11. “Who coaches the Coach and sharpens the saw?”

Ratnakar Bank added to

the IFBI partner list How many of us know that ICICI Bank

did not exist as a bank till the mid 90s? Now

look where they are! Similarly a new set of

banks are grow-

ing at a rapid

pace. One such

bank, Ratnakar

Bank recruited

IFBI students in

November 2011.

For banks that

want to grow

fast, they know

where to come for talented people.

As we know, the ABC of being a professional is

“Appearance, Behaviour and Communication” Here are a set

of IFBI students who have taken the message very seriously

to make a great first impression as a professional !

Dress your way to success and make a great positive impression

Faculty are the back-bone of any educational institution. They are the ones who convert

knowledge into skills that can be imparted to the students and make them ready for industry. IFBI is

proud to have a diverse set of 150 faculty from different organisations. They bring their passion, expe-

rience and teaching skills to the service of over 2500 students at any point of time.

“Agreed, the Coach coaches, but

who coaches the Coach ?”. IFBI has a pro-

cess of training and retraining faculty in line

with the emerging needs of the industry. Our

faculty participate in training programs con-

ducted from time to time. They are also ex-

posed to Corporate Trainings which hones

their skills in line with the modern banking

practices. Many faculty also undertake certi-

fication exams and benchmark themselves

against the industry.

Ms. Porkodi Palani, National Educa-

tion Delivery Head IFBI says “A special

recent initiative is that many faculty are

part of ICICI Bank Immersion program.

The first set of faculty have now spent

time in ICICI Bank branches and are able

to bring back the ICICI flavor into the

classroom. This process will quicken and

soon include all the faculty”

Seen alongside are some IFBI

faculty who attended training recently at

IFBI Chennai Head office, along with

their trainers.

New initiatives @ IFBI

HSBC is one of the top international banks with a massive global presence. Your IFBI has now joined hands with HSBC in an innovative venture to turn non-banking sales professional into modern bankers through a 5-week intensive residential program at NIIT University. IFBI Industry Alliances Head Manish Srivastava says “The participants will be trained on a wide range of topics - banking prod-ucts and services; investments and regulatory practices; customer relationship and management skills; as well as selling skills and techniques”

By the end of the program, the participants will be mod-eled into highly com-petent profes-sionals who can take up challenging sales assign-ments in Re-tail Banking. In short, a modern day banker who aids customers with wealth management solutions..

A cool tool to prepare you for PSU exams!

IFBI’s first national level tie up with a MNC Bank

IFBI has launched an Online Diagnostic

Tool for their students which has a Full Length Exam

as well as Performance Feedback for various sections.

It helps students identify their strengths and areas of

improvement. The exam is mapped for the require-

ments of PSU exams. Enrolling for this facility helps

the student to practice multiple times and identify are-

as requiring more effort.

Poonam Sharma, IFBI’s

Systems Head says —“ The biggest advantage on of-

fering Practice Test in online mode is to allow stu-

dents to assess themselves at time of enrolment and

after completion of program. Student can take a test

either on a specified section or the Full Length Test.

The Links can be assessed post registration of the pro-

gram and are accessible from anywhere, any time.

Student can practice well by appearing for the exam

multiple times. This is a great value add for all our

students preparing for PSU Exams”.

Celebration time @ IFBI Centers

IFBI Centers celebrating Teachers day

IFBI Staff celebrations at Delhi and Chennai

IFBI Student Esther Rani(Hyd) nominated as WALL OF FAME for over achieving her target by more than 400% How does it feel when you are rec-

ognized by your seniors on account of being a good performer in the first few months of joining the first organiza-

tion of your career, and representing your branch at various competitions (regional and

zonal levels) and winning cash awards and over achieving your targets by more than

400%?

Yes, all this has been done by one of our IFBI students Esther Rani of IFBI

Hyderabad and this is what she has to say. “I started my career with ICICI with IFBI’s

help and they really gave me life. IFBI shows you the way but you as an individual

have to take the journey. In my case too, they showed me the way and I took it as a

challenge.

What I believe is “when we are open to learning no matter whatever we do,

success automatically comes in your path"

IFBI not only provides you with a job but still they help us to guide in our

success”.
