DEPUTY GRAND KNIGHT – A FEW THOUGHTS… Dear Brother Knights: I would
like to thank all members who attended the meeting on October 28m,
2016 while we continued our SWOT (strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities, Threats) analysis and discussed “Opportunities” and
“Threats.” I will publish the results in next month’s newsletter.
In addition, we have been gathering new event “IDEAS” from several
of our meetings since mid-summer. I asked that we put these to a
vote and pick (3) ideas that we would like to consider for our next
events. We will discuss these at our next meeting as we will need
to expand on these items and put them against our SWOT results for
planning purposes. Thank you all that provided feedback! This will
ultimately make us a better council! Here are the results . . . See
you at the next meeting! (See results on Page 5). Fraternally,
Scott A, Morgan Deputy Grand Knight

Knights of Columbus “BENEFIT NEWS”
“Long Term Care Is an Important Piece of the Puzzle”
NOVEMBER IS LONG TERM CARE AWARENESS MONTH
There are many financial consultants and retirement authorities who
emphasize the need for a long-term care (LTC) product for estate
preservation and family protection. While many commercial life
insurance companies piece of the family protection puzzle. The
Order has been actively offering our members this product for
nearly 15 years without a premium increase on current
policyholders. Members who wisely purchased an LTC plan from the
Knights in 2000 are still paying the same premiums today. Even
better, our LTC coverage is backed by the full strength of the
Order, which remains rooted in our strong Catholic values. Talk
about stability when it counts! If we have not spoken about your
need for LTC coverage in your family portfolio, please take some
time out of your schedule to meet with me. Remember, long-term care
policies are underwritten based on your health, and you most likely
will never be any healthier than you are today.

NATIONAL NOVENA TO MARY – OCTOBER 30 – NOVEMBER 7, 2017 Dear
Brother Knights:
In preparation for Election Day, the Knights of Columbus is calling
its members and all the faithful to join together in a novena to
the Holy Trinity through the maternal intercession of the Blessed
Mother, under her title of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of
the United States. On the nine days leading up to Election Day –
beginning on Sunday, October 30th and concluding on Monday,
November 7th – please join me and Supreme Chaplain Archbishop
William Lori in invoking the intercession of Mary, the Immaculate
Conception, for our country. In 1791, America’s first bishop, John
Carroll, entrusted the country to the Blessed Mother, and in 1846
the bishops of the United States reaffirmed that dedication,
declaring Mary as patroness of the United States under her title of
the Immaculate Conception. The novena prayer can be found included
with this paper. I ask that you promote this national novena widely
through the ranks of our brother Knights and their families, as
well as, at parishes in consultation with your local pastor. Thank
you, Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson
