In our weekly meeting on June 15, 2018 President Rtn Dr Rita Kalra welcomed all Rotarians, R’anns, Rotaractors and our dear children. She said, “I thank the Family of Rotary for their contribution and participation all through the year.” Presenting a small invocation and pointing out to the dusty weather of that day, Dr Rita adviced, “We should plant 100 trees per person every year.”
Director Youth Service Rtn Nitin Kapur took over the proceedings to call the Rotaractors. President Rtr Nandan with Secretary Rtr Kuldeep of Rotaract Club of Le Corbusier, President Rtr Deepika of Rotaract Club of Dev Samaj College and Rtr Vishal of Rotaract Club of Vidya Jyoti gave presentation of meaningful projects and activities undertaken by them during the year. The Rotaractors did excellent job covering practically all avenues of service with dedication and their youthful ideas.

Rtn Shuchi Thakur recited a very appropriate song, “Bache man ke sache…….” Talented Children of Rotary gave an amazing performance. Our little rock stars entertained us with songs, poems, music and dance. Both the coordinators Rtn Shuchi Thakur and R’ann Shivani Kapur did a splendid job to present an impressive program, which was loudly applauded.

Jatinder is now settled in Spain and

Eye Camp in memory of Rtn Col Dr Jawahar Luthra
On June 17, 2018 Rotary Club Chandigarh Midtown and Sanjivni Medical and Educational Trust organised free eye checkup camp in memory of Late Rtn Col Dr Jawahar Luthra. The chief guest on the occasion was Prof Dr Jagat Ram, Director, PGI, Chandigarh, who fondly remembered the contribution of Dr Luthra as a great eye specialist and a good human being. He
Dr Jagat Ram felicitated the volunteers and Partners in Rotary service and appreciated the efforts of Dr SPS Grewal and staff of Grewal Eye Institute.
President Dr Rita Kalra thanked the volunteers from community for their special effort in Making a difference. Rtn Indu Luthra and her family were overwhelmed with support of Inner Wheel members and Rotarians of Chandigarh Midtown.
The event was attended by Prof IC Pathak and Prof Pandey from PGI and Dr Neeraj President IMA. Shri Narinder Choudhary President RCC Dadumajra expressed gratitude to Rotarians for their support.

Hospital Panchkula. The garden waste along with cow dung and earth worms have been stacked in a 7 feet pit, covered with mud and watered every week. In about a month it decomposes and is full of nutrients to promote growth of trees.
