THE VOLUNTEER CENTERUnitedWayofLarimerCounty’sVolunteerCentermakesvolunteeringeasyforyou.Ourteamofvolunteerspecialistsisheretohelpyou,yourfamilyandyourfriendsfindtheperfectopportunityorproject.

TheVolunteerCentercreatesamoreconnectedcommunitybypromotingtheethicofserviceandbeingthecentralresourceforvolunteerismthroughcollaborations.

TYPES OF VOLUNTEERISM

OurtrainedVolunteerCenterstaffassistpeopleandgroupsofallagesincludingbusinesses,faith-basedvolunteers,nonprofitorganizations,andfamilieslookingtomakeadifferenceinourcommunitythroughvolunteerism.

Corporate BusinessCares,amembershipprogram,helpscompaniesdevelopexcellenceinvolunteerprogramsandadvocatesbestpracticesincorporatevolunteerism.Companiesareprovidedwiththetoolsnecessarytoinvolvetheiremployeesinthecommunity,theskillstomeasurethatinvolvement,andtheopportunitytonetworkwithotherlike-mindedorganizations.

Youth and FamilySupportisofferedtostudents,teachersandadministratorswhowanttointegratevolunteerismintotheK-12learningcurriculum,particularlyduringourannualvolunteerevents.Afamilyvolunteeringguideisavailableforfamilieswhowanttovolunteerwithyoungchildren.

Individual and Group Giveanhour.GiveaSaturday.Whetherit’sreadingtochildren,deliveringmealstoseniorcitizensorhelpingrestorenaturetrails–getoutandvolunteer.Wecanhelpyoufindtheperfectopportunityinyourcommunity.

Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) TAPoffersprofessionalworkshops,trainingopportunities,andconsultingservicestononprofitorganizationsandanyoneelseinterestedinenhancingtheirorganizationalcompetencies.

Board Bank VolunteersaretrainedandreferredtononprofitBoardofDirectorpositionsaccordingtotheneedsofthenonprofitandtheskillsetsandinterestsofthevolunteers.Trainingsareheldbimonthly.

United Way AmeriCorpsNationalServiceAmeriCorpsmembersworkfull-timeatlocalnonprofitagenciesinthecommunitytoincreasevolunteerismaroundeducation,health,andincome,andtobuildthecapacityoftheirhostorganization.
