Volunteers! We need you! Established in 2004, Lakshyam is a social enterprise that uplifts children and women of at-risk communities through education & employment. Currently functional in 11 states of India with 13 centers, Lakshyam’s ‘Butterfly: Child Welfare & Education’ program offers holistic education to children, ‘Lakshyam Toy Library’ is a need-based approach and ‘Rooh: Awakening Women’s Soul’ is designed to empower women via awareness, initiation and action. Education a. Teach languages like English and Hindi and assist with homework and exams. b. Spoken English – Help the students learn how to pronounce, enunciate and read Hindi and English in an impeccable manner. c. Extend Computer Training to help the children learn varied skills to optimally use a Computer/Laptop. Performing Arts Take workshops of Music, Dance Forms (Indian/West- ern), Street Play, Calligraphy among others. Administrative Work/Business Development Assist in Book Keeping, Cash Management, Donor Receipts and help strengthen the Operations’ Depart- ment. Indoor and Outdoor Sports Cricket, Basketball, Karate, Badminton, Carrom, Chess, Self Defense etc. Vocational Training Teach adolescents and women the art of Sewing, Stitching, Haircutting, Patchwork, Candle-Making, Pa- per Mache and other handicrafts. Media & Communications a. Create Posters, draft Online material, Graphic De- signing, Film Making, Creative & Content Writing etc. b. Help plan Fundraisers/Awareness Camps, support the expansion of the three main Programs of Lakshy- am. Desk Warrior a. Data Management – Data Entry and Management, Data Analysis, Donor Mapping, Sponsorship Records b. Research & Documentation – Find new relevant ini- tiatives to carry out, research for collaborations & tie- ups, document the ongoing programs at Lakshyam. c.
