With over 14,000 members in North Warwicks it’s a great responsibility

representing all their interests and co-ordinating efforts.

Organising weekly “meets” for their members; Steve and the other

members have visited sites all around the British Isles – some close to

home in Nuneaton and Kidderminster, others much further afi eld on the

Isle of Wight and the Elan Valley in Wales. Often meeting up with other

District Associations it’s almost another full time job!

As if that wasn’t enough the Club is very active in raising money for

local charities. Over the years they’ve supported amongst others

Guide Dogs for the Blind, Help the Heroes, Breast Cancer Research

and Birmingham Children’s Hospital but this year they’re concentrating

their efforts to support the Special Care Baby Unit at Warwick

Hospital. They’ve climbed Snowdon, waxed their chests (the men

that is!) and run half marathons – all to support local charities.

We think they are doing a great job and wish Steve and the rest of

his committee great success in their efforts this year.
