The summer travel season will be in full swing soon. We need to be prepared for roads full of summer vacation travelers, and the increase in business. It is a good time to remember our goal is to Safely Deliver Our Customers’ Products On-Time and Accurately. We have some exciting things going on around our company. We are in the early stages of implementing PeopleNet’s android system in our tractors with improved workflow application. The system will move faster, and provide simplified data entry, online pre-trip and post-trip data will electronically link to our maintenance shops. This will eliminate the load/unload sheet since it will be done electronically, and the system will provide more timely and accurate information for driver pay and customer invoicing. The safety feedback from roll stability, speed, following distance, for example, is enhanced, thus making it easier for our supervisors to utilize to provide feedback to our drivers. Our IT and Billing/Accounts Receivable groups are working to improve the accuracy of our data entry through new software called OCR where the system compares the data entered on a load to the scanned document and allows for corrections prior to invoicing a load. This system will eliminate a lot of manual work and improve our invoice accuracy. In addition, our IT Department is improving our network and system capacity to increase the speed of the system and eliminate waiting time. We are in the final stages of announcing our new Driver Training Plan. I will not go into detail in this note except to say, we look forward to improving our training and mentoring of new employees with a goal to produce safer drivers that have a good grasp of our procedures, a desire to stay with us for a long time and are a good fit with our current drivers. We have heard the requests and are reviewing our driver uniforms to find a uniform that looks and feels better than what we have today. We are in the final stages of testing several models and getting feedback from our drivers on the various options. We hope to roll out something new this summer. We are blessed here at Patriot and Florida Rock & Tank Lines to have a strong financial balance sheet with no debt and we have cash in the bank. I am proud of our employees for the hard work and dedication exhibited daily to take care of our customers and to do it safely. We have a great company with a lot of fantastic people and we need more quality people to join us. Talk with your friends and neighbors and help us recruit those quality people to work for us. If you have not followed us on Twitter or liked us on Facebook, you should. We are posting interesting information about our company on a daily basis.
