along the river and through a wetland. 26 Sandy Knoll County Park 2064 Wallace Lake Rd, West Bend 53090 262 ac.- This park includes scenic nature trails winding around prairie, woodland and pond Little Cedar Lake, this park provides 1,600 feet of shoreline with picnic shelters, boat launch, fishing pier and soccer fields. 20 Henschke Hillside Lake Access 5630 Peters Dr, West Bend 53095 Located on the east side of Silver Lake, this site includes a trailered boat launch. No shore fishing is available. State Trails dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/findapark.html Eisenbahn State Trail www.co.washington.wi.us/park Twelve miles of the Eisenbahn State Trail passes through farmland, cities and scenic waterways. Five miles of trail within the City of West Bend are paved; the remainder of the trail is surfaced with limestone screenings. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are al- lowed south of Lighthouse Lane. Snowmobil- ing is allowed north of Lighthouse Lane when conditions permit. Dogs on leash are allowed from 04/15-07/31. 10 Kettle Moraine State Forest, Northern Unit 30,000 ac.- This forest is managed for recreation, forest products, water quality, soil protection, ter- restrial and aquatic wildlife, native biological diversity and aesthetics. 9 Kettle Moraine State Forest, Loew’s Lake Unit 1,200 ac.- This picturesque valley includes a branch of the Oconomowoc River, Loew’s Lake, and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and provides opportunities for geocaching, hunting and horseback riding. 14 Wild Marsh Landing East of Friess Lake Road, off Lake Dr. This boat launch provides access to Little Friess Lake. 13 Theresa Marsh Wildlife Area 6,000 ac.- This wildlife area is open to archery and firearm hunting, trapping, berry picking and wildlife viewing. Leonard J. Yahr County Park 25 Lizard Mound County Park 2121 Co Hwy A, West Bend WI 53090 32 ac.- Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this park includes more than 25 well preserved effigy mounds, and trails, as well as an interpretive center. 12 North Branch Milwaukee River Wildlife & Farming Heritage Area 140 ac.- This property offers access to the Milwaukee River and a complex of wetlands. Hunting, trapping, and other low-impact, na- ture-based outdoor recreation are the primary activities. 8 Jackson Marsh Wildlife Area 1,500 ac.- This wildlife area includes forested wetlands surrounded by grass fields.
