Worship Guide December 12, 2021
Welcome! If you’re here today for the
first time, or for the first time in a long time, and something inside you says that right at this moment, you need to do something, and you need to take a step, but you don’t know what that step is, I’m going to ask you to do something. Just give us your e-mail address, (or preferred contact method). Put it in the offering plate. Leave it on the pew. Allow us to start communicating with you. Don’t worry that we’ll over-communicate, because everything we do has a one-click unsubscribe, but let us start communicating with you about what’s going on at this church. And together, let’s just see what
God does.- Pastor Trey

Our Mission First Baptist exists to experience, celebrate, and share God’s grace.
We affirm six main functions as the means of so doing: Christ-centered worship, Biblical instruction, prayer,
world evangelization, nurturing fellowship, and caring acts.

The Principle of Christian Worship:
Worship isn’t about the style of music or the order of worship or a perfor-
mance to be enjoyed. In worship, the church gathers to glorify God for
His greatness, delight in His goodness, and acknowledge His righteous-
ness. It is opening our hearts to God and surrendering ourselves to do
the will of God. It adores God from one’s spirit and with one’s mind.
Worship involves both joyful celebration and reverent contemplation; we
will do both through Jesus Christ..

I want to join First Baptist Church:
□ By Profession of Faith — Once a person
has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, he or she is baptized by immersion.
□ By Transfer of Letter — This means that a
person is a member of another Baptist church (or another church of “like faith and order”) and wants to move their membership from that church to this one.
□ By Statement — This person was a Baptist,
moved his membership to another denomination, and now wants to join First Baptist. The person is stating that he has been saved, that he was bap-tized after salvation by immersion, and has been a member of a Baptist church or one of “like faith”.
□ By Rededication and Transfer or State-
ment. Sometimes Christians have been out of fellowship with God and out of church and want to renew their commitment. Church members may also re-dedicate their lives to God.
□ Watchcare Status — For those who want to
receive information about the church program and enjoy the love and ministry of the church, but who aren’t ready to meet the expectations of church membership. They may not vote in conference or hold an office.
