1 Important instructions for safety and environmentThis section contains safety instructions that will help protect from risk of personal injury or property damage. Failure to follow these instructions shall void any warranty.

1.1 General safety• Thisproductcanbeusedbychildrenatandabove8yearsoldandbypersonswhosephysical,sensoryormentalcapabilitieswerenotfullydevelopedorwholack experience and knowledge provided that they are supervised or trained on the safe usage of the product andtherisksitbringsout.Childrenmustnotplaywiththeproduct.Cleaningandmaintenanceworksshouldnotbeperformedbychildrenunlesstheyaresupervisedbysomeone.

• Neverplacetheproductonacarpet-coveredfloor.Otherwise,lackofairflowbeneaththemachinewillcauseelectricalpartstooverheat.Thiswillcauseproblemswithyour product.

• Iftheproducthasafailure,itshouldnotbeoperatedunlessitisrepairedbytheAuthorizedServiceAgent.Thereistherisk of electric shock!

• Thisproductisdesignedtoresumeoperatingintheeventofpoweringonafterapowerinterruption.Ifyouwishtocanceltheprogramme,see"Cancellingtheprogramme"section.

• Connecttheproducttoagroundedoutletprotectedbya13Afuse.Donotneglecttohavethegroundinginstallationmadebyaqualifiedelectrician.Ourcompanyshallnotbeliableforanydamagesthatwillarisewhentheproductis used without grounding in accordance with the local regulations.

• Thewatersupplyanddraininghosesmustbesecurelyfastenedandremainundamaged.Otherwise,thereistherisk of water leakage.

• Neveropentheloadingdoororremovethefilterwhilethereisstillwaterinthedrum.Otherwise,riskoffloodingand injury from hot water will occur.

• Donotforceopenthelockedloadingdoor.Theloadingdoorwillbereadytoopenjustafewminutesafterthewashingcyclecomestoanend.Incaseofforcingtheloadingdoortoopen,thedoorandthelockmechanismmay get damaged.

• Unplugtheproductwhennotinuse.• Neverwashtheproductbyspreadingorpouringwater

onto it! There is the risk of electric shock!• Nevertouchtheplugwithwethands!Neverunplugbypullingonthecable,alwayspulloutbygrabbingtheplug.

• Usedetergents,softenersandsupplementssuitableforautomatic washing machines only.

• Followtheinstructionsonthetextiletagsandonthedetergent package.

• Theproductmustbeunpluggedduringinstallation,maintenance,cleaningandrepairingprocedures.

• AlwayshavetheinstallationandrepairingprocedurescarriedoutbytheAuthorized Service Agent. Manufacturershallnotbeheldliablefordamagesthatmayarisefromprocedurescarriedoutbyunauthorizedpersons.

• Ifthepowercableisdamaged,itmustbereplacedbythemanufacturer,aftersalesserviceorasimilarlyqualifiedperson(preferablyanelectrician)orsomeonedesignatedbytheimporterinordertoavoidpossiblerisks.

1.2 Intended use• Thisproducthasbeendesignedfordomesticuse.Itisnotsuitableforcommercialuseanditmustnotbeusedoutofits intended use.

• Theproductmustonlybeusedforwashingandrinsingoflaundry that are marked accordingly.

• Themanufacturerwaivesanyresponsibilityarisenfromincorrect usage or transportation.

1.3 Children's safety• Packagingmaterialsaredangeroustochildren.Keep

packaging materials in a safe place away from reach of the children.

• Electricalproductsaredangerousforthechildren.Keepchildrenawayfromtheproductwhenitisinuse.Donotletthemtotamperwiththeproduct.Usechildlocktopreventchildren from intervening with the product.

• Donotforgettoclosetheloadingdoorwhenleavingtheroom where the product is located.

• Storealldetergentsandadditivesinasafeplaceawayfromthereachofthechildrenbyclosingthecoverofthedetergent container or sealing the detergent package.

1.4 Package information• PackagingmaterialsoftheproductaremanufacturedfromrecyclablematerialsinaccordancewithourNationalEnvironmentRegulations.Donotdisposeofthepackagingmaterials together with the domestic or other wastes. Take them to the packaging material collection points designatedbythelocalauthorities.

1.5 Disposing of the waste product• Thisproducthasbeenmanufacturedwithhighqualitypartsandmaterialswhichcanbereusedandaresuitableforrecycling.Therefore,donotdisposetheproductwithnormal domestic waste at the end of its service life. Take it to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronicequipment.Pleaseconsultyourlocalauthoritiesto learn the nearest collection point. Help protect the environmentandnaturalresourcesbyrecyclingusedproducts.Forchildren'ssafety,cutthepowercableandbreakthelockingmechanismoftheloadingdoorsothatitwillbenon-functionalbeforedisposingoftheproduct.

2 InstallationRefertothenearestAuthorisedServiceAgentforinstallationoftheproduct.Tomaketheproductreadyforuse,reviewthe information in the user manual and make sure that the electricity,tapwatersupplyandwaterdrainagesystemsareappropriatebeforecallingtheAuthorizedServiceAgent.Iftheyarenot,callaqualifiedtechnicianandplumbertohaveanynecessary arrangements carried out.

C INFORMATIONSPreparationofthelocationandelectrical,tapwaterandwastewater installations at the place of installation is under customer’s responsibility.

Make sure that the water inlet and discharge hoses as well as the powercablearenotfolded,pinchedorcrushedwhilepushingtheproduct into its place after installation or cleaning procedures.

B WARNINGInstallationandelectricalconnectionsoftheproductmustbecarriedoutbytheAuthorizedServiceAgent.Manufacturershallnotbeheldliablefordamagesthatmayarisefromprocedurescarriedoutbyunauthorizedpersons.

A WARNINGPriortoinstallation,visuallycheckiftheproducthasanydefectsonit.Ifso,donothaveitinstalled.Damagedproductscauserisksforyour safety.

2.1 Appropriate installation location• Placethemachineonarigidfloor.Donotplaceitonalong

pile rug or similar surfaces.• Totalweightofthewashingmachineandthedryer-with

full load- when they are placed on top of each other reachestoapprox.180kilograms.Placetheproductonasolid and flat floor that has sufficient load carrying capacity!

• Donotplacetheproductonthepowercable.• Donotinstalltheproductatplaceswheretemperaturemayfallbelow0ºC.

• Placetheproductatleast1cmawayfromtheedgesofother furniture.

2.2 Removing packaging reinforcementTiltthemachinebackwardstoremovethepackagingreinforcement.Removethepackagingreinforcementbypullingtheribbon.

2.3 Removing the transportation locks

A WARNINGDonotremovethetransportationlocksbeforetakingoutthepackaging reinforcement.

Removethetransportationsafetyboltsbeforeoperatingthewashingmachine!Otherwise,theproductwillbedamaged.

Loosenalltheboltswithasuitablespanneruntiltheyrotatefreely(C).Removetransportationsafetyboltsbyturningthemgently.AttachtheplasticcoverssuppliedintheUserManualbagintotheholesontherearpanel.(P)

C INFORMATIONSKeepthetransportationsafetyboltsinasafeplacetoreusewhenthewashingmachineneedstobemovedagaininthefuture.

Nevermovetheproductwithoutthetransportationsafetyboltsproperly fixed in place!

2.4 Connecting water supply

C INFORMATIONSThewatersupplypressurerequiredtoruntheproductisbetween1to10bars(0.1–1MPa).Itisnecessarytohave10–80litersof water flowing from the fully open tap in one minute to have your machinerunsmoothly.Attachapressurereducingvalveifwaterpressure is higher.

Ifyouaregoingtousethedoublewater-inletproductasasingle(cold)water-inletunit,youmustinstallthesuppliedstoppertothehotwatervalvebeforeoperatingtheproduct.(Appliesfortheproductssuppliedwithablindstoppergroup.)

Ifyouwanttousebothwaterinletsoftheproduct,connectthehot water hose after removing the stopper and gasket group from thehotwatervalve.(Appliesfortheproductssuppliedwithablindstopper group.)

A WARNINGModelswithasinglewaterinletshouldnotbeconnectedtothehotwatertap.Insuchacasethelaundrywillgetdamagedortheproduct will switch to protection mode and will not operate.

Donotuseoldorusedwaterinlethosesonthenewproduct.Itmaycause stains on your laundry.

Connectthespecialhosessuppliedwiththeproducttothewaterinletsontheproduct.Redhose(left)(max.90ºC)isforhotwaterinlet,bluehose(right)(max.25ºC)isforcoldwaterinlet.

1.6 Compliance with the WEEE Directive and Disposing of the Waste Product:

ThisproductcomplieswithEUWEEEDirective(2012/19/EU).Thisproductbearsaclassificationsymbolforwasteelectricalandelectronicequipment(WEEE).Thisproducthasbeenmanufacturedwithhighqualitypartsandmaterialswhichcanbereusedandaresuitableforrecycling.Donotdisposeof

the waste product with normal domestic and other wastes at the end of its service life. Take it to the collection center for therecyclingofelectricalandelectronicequipment.Pleaseconsultyourlocalauthoritiestolearnaboutthesecollectioncenters.

A WARNINGEnsurethatthecoldandhotwaterconnectionsaremadecorrectlywheninstallingtheproduct.Otherwise,yourlaundrywillcomeouthot at the end of the washing process and wear out.

Tightenallhosenutsbyhand.Neveruseawrenchwhentightening the nuts. Open the taps completely after making the hose connection to check for water leaks at the connection points.Ifanyleaksoccur,turnoffthetapandremovethenut.Retightenthenutcarefullyaftercheckingtheseal.Topreventwaterleakagesanddamagescausedbythem,keepthetapsclosed when the machine is not in use.

2.5 Connecting to the drain• Theendofthedrainhosemustbedirectlyconnectedtothewastewaterdrainortothewashbasin.

A WARNINGDonotremovethetransportationlocksbeforetakingoutthepackaging reinforcement.

• Thehoseshouldbeattachedtoaheightofatleast40cm,and 100 cm at most.

• Incasethehoseiselevatedafterlayingitonthefloorlevelorclosetotheground(lessthan40cmabovetheground),waterdischargebecomesmoredifficultandthelaundrymaycomeoutexcessivelywet.Therefore,followtheheightsdescribedinthefigure.

• Topreventflowingofdirtywaterbackintothemachineandtoallowforeasydischarge,donotimmersethehoseendinto the dirty water or do not drive it in the drain more than 15cm.Ifitistoolong,cutitshort.

• Theendofthehoseshouldnotbebent,itshouldnotbesteppedonandthehosemustnotbepinchedbetweenthedrain and the machine.

• Ifthelengthofthehoseistooshort,useitbyaddingan original extension hose. Length of the hose may not belongerthan3.2m.Toavoidwaterleakfailures,theconnectionbetweentheextensionhoseandthedrainhoseoftheproductmustbefittedwellwithanappropriateclamp as not to come off and leak.

2.6 Adjusting the feet

A WARNINGInordertoensurethattheproductoperatesmoresilentlyandvibration-free,itmuststandlevelandbalancedonitsfeet.Balancethemachinebyadjustingthefeet.Otherwise,theproductmaymovefromitsplaceandcausecrushingandvibrationproblems.

Loosenthelocknutsonthefeetbyhand.Adjustthefeetuntiltheproductstandslevelandbalanced.Tightenalllocknuts

againbyhand.

A WARNINGDonotuseanytoolstoloosenthelocknuts.Otherwise,theywillget damaged.

2.7 Electrical connectionConnecttheproducttoagroundedoutletprotectedbya13Afuse.Ourcompanyshallnotbeliableforanydamagesthat will arise when the product is used without grounding in accordance with the local regulations.• Connectionmustcomplywithnationalregulations.• Powercableplugmustbewithineasyreachafter

installation.• Ifthecurrentvalueofthefuseorbreakerinthehouseislessthan13Amps,haveaqualifiedelectricianinstalla13Ampfuse.

• Thevoltagespecifiedinthe“Technicalspecifications”sectionmustbeequaltoyourmainsvoltage.

• Donotmakeconnectionsviaextensioncablesormulti-plugs.

B WARNING: DamagedpowercablesmustbereplacedbytheAuthorizedServiceAgents.

3 Preparation

3.1 Things to be done for energy savingFollowing information will help you use the product in an ecological and energy-efficient manner.• Operatetheproductinthehighestcapacityallowedbytheprogrammeyouhaveselected,butdonotoverload;see,"Programmeandconsumptiontable".

• Alwaysfollowtheinstructionsonthedetergentpackaging.• Washslightlysoiledlaundryatlowtemperatures.• Usefasterprogrammesforsmallquantitiesoflightlysoiled

laundry.• Donotusehightemperaturesforlaundrythatisnotheavily

soiled or stained.• Donotusedetergentinexcessoftheamount

recommended on the detergent package.

3.2 Sorting the laundry• Sortlaundryaccordingtotypeoffabric,colour,anddegreeofsoilingandallowablewatertemperature.

• Alwaysobeytheinstructionsgivenonthegarmenttags.

3.3 Preparing laundry for washing• Laundryitemswithmetalattachmentssuchas,underwiredbras,beltbucklesormetalbuttonswilldamagethemachine.Removethemetalpiecesorwashtheclothesbyputtingtheminalaundrybagorpillowcase.

ImportantFitting a different plugAsthecoloursofthewiresinthemainsleadofthisappliancemay not correspond with the coloured markings identifying theterminalsonyourplug,proceedasfollows:1 Connectthegreen-yelloworgreen(earth)wiretotheterminalintheplugmarked‘E’orwiththesymbolforcoloured green and yellow or green.

2 Connecttheblue(neutral)wiretotheterminalintheplugmarked‘N’orcolouredblack.

3 Connectthebrown(live)wiretotheterminalintheplugmarked ‘L’ or coloured red.

Withthealternativeplugsa13Afusemustbefittedeitherintheplugoradaptororinthemainfusebox.Ifindoubtcontactaqualifiedelectrician.

2.8 First useBeforestartingtousetheproduct,makesurethatallpreparations are made in accordance with the instructions in sections"Importantsafetyinstructions"and"Installation".Topreparetheproductforwashinglaundry,performfirstoperationinCotton-90programme.Beforestartingtheprogramme,putmax.100gofpowderanti-limescaleintothemainwashdetergentcompartment(compartmentnr.II).Iftheanti-limescaleisintabletform,putonlyonetabletintocompartmentnr.II.Drytheinsideofthebellowwithacleanpiece of cloth after the programme has come to an end.

C INFORMATIONSUseananti-limescalesuitableforthewashingmachines.

Somewatermighthaveremainedintheproductduetothequalitycontrolprocessesintheproduction.Itisnotharmfulfortheproduct.

2.10 Transportation of the productUnplugtheproductbeforetransportingit.Removewaterdrainandwatersupplyconnections.Draintheremainingwaterintheproductcompletely;see,"Drainingremainingwaterandcleaningthepumpfilter".Installtransportationsafetyboltsinthereverseorderofremovalprocedure;see,"Removingthetransportationlocks".

C INFORMATIONSNevermovetheproductwithoutthetransportationsafetyboltsproperly fixed in place!

2.11 Disposing of the old productDisposeoftheoldproductinanenvironmentallyfriendlymanner.Refertoyourlocaldealerorsolidwastecollectioncentreinyour area to learn how to dispose of your product.Forchildren'ssafety,cutthepowercableandbreakthelockingmechanismoftheloadingdoorsothatitwillbenonfunctionalbeforedisposingoftheproduct.

• Putsmallsizeclothessuchasinfant'ssocksandnylonstockingsinalaundrybagorpillowcase.

• Placecurtainsinwithoutcompressingthem.Removecurtain attachment items.

• Fastenzippers,sewloosebuttonsandmendripsandtears.

• Wash“machinewashable”or“handwashable”labeledproducts only with an appropriate programme.

• Donotwashcoloursandwhitestogether.New,darkcolouredcottonsreleasealotofdye.Washthemseparately.

• Toughstainsmustbetreatedproperlybeforewashing.Ifunsure,checkwithadrycleaner.

• Useonlydyes/colourchangersandlimescaleremoverssuitableformachinewash.Alwaysfollowtheinstructionson the package.

• Washtrousersanddelicatelaundryturnedinsideout.• KeeplaundryitemsmadeofAngorawoolinthefreezerforafewhoursbeforewashing.Thiswillreducepilling.

• Laundrythataresubjectedtomaterialssuchasflour,limedust,milkpowder,etc.intenselymustbeshakenoffbeforeplacingintothemachine.Suchdustsandpowdersonthelaundrymaybuildupontheinnerpartsofthemachineintime and can cause damage.

3.4 Correct load capacityThemaximumloadcapacitydependsonthetypeoflaundry,the degree of soiling and the washing programme desired.The machine automatically adjusts the amount of water according to the weight of the loaded laundry.

3.5 Loading the laundryOpentheloadingdoor.Placelaundryitemslooselyintothemachine.Pushtheloadingdoortocloseuntilyouhearalockingsound.Ensurethatnoitemsarecaughtinthedoor.

C INFORMATIONSThe loading door is locked while a programme is running. The door canonlybeopenedawhileaftertheprogrammecomestoanend.

A WARNINGIncaseofmisplacingthelaundry,noiseandvibrationproblemsmayoccur in the machine.

3.6 Using detergent and softenerDetergent DrawerThe detergent drawer is composed of three compartments:- (1) for prewash- (2) for main wash–(3)forsoftener–(*)inaddition,thereissiphonpieceinthesoftenercompartment.

• Donotselectaprogrammewithprewashifyouareusingadetergentbagordispensingball.Placethedetergentbagorthedispensingballdirectlyamongthelaundryinthemachine.

• Ifyouareusingliquiddetergent,donotforgettoplacetheliquiddetergentcupintothemainwashcompartment(compartment nr. 2).

3.7 Choosing the detergent typeThetypeofdetergenttobeuseddependsonthetypeandcolourofthefabric.• Usedifferentdetergentsforcolouredandwhitelaundry.• Washyourdelicateclothesonlywithspecialdetergents(liquiddetergent,woolshampoo,etc.)usedsolelyfordelicate clothes.

• Whenwashingdarkcolouredclothesandquilts,itisrecommendedtouseliquiddetergent.

• Washwoolenswithspecialdetergentmadespecificallyforwoolens.

3.8 Adjusting detergent amountTheamountofwashingdetergenttobeuseddependsontheamountoflaundry,thedegreeofsoilingandwaterhardness.Readthemanufacturer'sinstructionsonthedetergentpackage carefully and follow the dosage values.• Donotuseamountsexceedingthedosagequantitiesrecommendedonthedetergentpackagetoavoidproblemsofexcessivefoam,poorrinsing,financialsavingsandfinally,environmentalprotection.

• Uselesserdetergentforsmallamountsorlightlysoiledclothes.

• Useconcentrateddetergentsintherecommendeddosage.

3.9 Using softenersPourthesoftenerintothesoftenercompartmentofthedetergent drawer.• Usethedosagesrecommendedonthepackage.• Donotexceedthe(>max<)levelmarkinginthesoftener

compartment.• Ifthesoftenerhaslostitsfluidity,diluteitwithwaterbefore

putting it in the detergent drawer.

Using bleaches• Selectaprogrammewithprewashandaddthebleachingagentatthebeginningoftheprewash.Donotputdetergent in the prewash compartment.

• Donotusebleachingagentanddetergentbymixingthem.• Usejustalittleamount(approx.50ml)ofbleachingagent

and rinse the clothes very well as it causes skin irritation. Donotpourthebleachingagentontotheclothesanddonot use it for coloured clothes.

5.4 Cleaning the water intake filtersThere is a filter at the end of each water intake valve at the rear of the machine and also at the end of each water intake hose where they are connected to the tap. These filters preventforeignsubstancesanddirtinthewatertoenterthewashingmachine.Filtersshouldbecleanedastheydogetdirty.

Closethetaps.Removethenutsofthewaterintakehosestoaccessthefiltersonthewaterintakevalves.Cleanthemwithanappropriatebrush.Ifthefiltersaretoodirty,takethemoutbymeansofpliersandcleanthem.Takeoutthefilterson the flat ends of the water intake hoses together with the gasketsandcleanthoroughlyunderrunningwater.Replacethe gaskets and filters carefully in their places and tighten the hosenutsbyhand.

5.5 Draining remaining water and cleaning the pump filterThe filter system in your machine prevents solid items such asbuttons,coinsandfabricfiberscloggingthepumpimpellerduringdischargeofwashingwater.Thus,thewaterwillbedischargedwithoutanyproblemandtheservicelifeofthepump will extend.Ifthemachinefailstodrainwater,thepumpfilterisclogged.Filtermustbecleanedwheneveritiscloggedorinevery3months.Watermustbedrainedofffirsttocleanthepumpfilter.Inaddition,priortotransportingthemachine(e.g.,whenmovingtoanotherhouse)andincaseoffreezingofthewater,watermayhavetobedrainedcompletely.
