What is a community history website?

• The site allows users to share photographs, images, comments and text

• A simple category system links the pages

• An advert area allows links to other sites

• Video and audio files can also be posted

How will it help Warwickshire’s Heritage and Culture ?

• Make the most of our collections by putting people in touch with their heritage

• Build on existing relationships with community groups and demonstrate the value of our services

• A way of effectively supporting community interest and activity with reduced resources

What could it do for Warwickshire?

• Provide an online space for people to record and share their cultural experiences and showcase local heritage

• Provide infrastructure and facilities that the community can use in a way that suits them e.g. events booking, marketing, social media, cataloguing etc

• Spark local pride and potentially attract tourism

• Act as a resource for formal and informal education
