Debating News On Wednesday the Year 5 debating team, travelled to Woodberry Public School to compete in their first debate. The topic for the debate was “that every class should adopt a dog or cat as a class pet”. The team won the toss and took the affirmative side for this debate. It was a very tricky topic to debate from the affirmative side. Despite some very good arguments and with a difficult decision for the adjudicator, unfortunately, our team lost the debate. However they worked well together as a team and did a great job on their debut performance. Well done Makaela, Monique, Piper and Gabrielle. We look forward to seeing your next round.
